Financial planning and recovery of the municipality's credibility made the works possible
According to Mayor Estener Soratto, the launch of the Obra Pra Valer Program was only possible after an internal process of financial and administrative reorganization. The current administration claims to have carried out structural reforms that ensured greater efficiency in the public sector and eliminated pending issues that prevented access to state and federal resources.
The mayor highlighted that, with the recovery of negative certificates and the restructuring of the administration, the municipality once again had credibility with the State Government and the Santa Catarina parliamentary bench. This recovery, according to him, allowed partnerships and amendments that are now becoming concrete investments in Tubarão.
Deputy Mayor and Secretary Denis Matiola reinforced that the success of the program is due to reduction of commissioned positions, review of public contracts e fiscal balance. He pointed out that these measures were crucial in freeing up space in the budget and restoring the confidence of public investors.
Work on daycare centers, schools and health units will begin in 2025
According to the city government, the first interventions planned in the Obra Pra Valer Program will begin in the second half of 2025. The priority will be the construction of new daycare centers, the renovation of existing schools and the modernization of health centers in neighborhoods with the greatest population demand.
The management's goal is to increase the number of places in early childhood education, reduce the need for travel between neighborhoods and offer an adequate structure for basic health care. works in daycare centers and schools in Tubarão include improvements in accessibility, air conditioning, security and school meals.
In the health area, health centers in Tubarão will undergo expansion of offices, restructuring of vaccination rooms and renovation of service areas. The plan also includes the purchase of equipment to modernize clinical care and reduce waiting lists in municipal services.
Urban mobility will receive a significant portion of the investment
A significant portion of the R$100 million from the Obra Pra Valer Program will be earmarked for paving streets and revitalizing strategic roads in the city. The city government's goal is to facilitate traffic between neighborhoods, improve public transportation and reduce road maintenance costs.
Fine drainage and runoff of rainwater are also planned in regions with a history of flooding. The city government reported that the interventions will occur in a staggered manner, according to a schedule drawn up by the technical team of the Infrastructure Department.
In addition to urban mobility, there will be investment in the purchase of utility vehicles to reinforce the city's fleet in areas such as health, education, garbage collection and maintenance of public roads.
With Real Work Program, the city of Tubarão is entering a new cycle of public works, after a period of containment and reorganization of accounts. The city government highlighted that planning continues to be guided by criteria of fiscal responsibility and transparency.
