Chinese and Russian planes conduct strategic air patrol over the Sea of Japan. South Korea scrambles fighter jets after detecting military movement in KADIZ
South Korea scrambled its fighter jets on Friday (30) after detecting Chinese and Russian planes flying over the Air Defense Identification Zone (KADIZ) during a strategic air patrol in the Sea of Japan. The move marks the ninth joint operation between the two countries since 2019, part of an annual military cooperation plan, according to China's Defense Ministry.
The South Korean military identified five Chinese and six Russian aircraft entering the KADIZ without warning. Although it is not territorial airspace, identification zones like the KADIZ exist to prevent accidental conflicts by requesting that foreign aircraft identify themselves as they approach.
The South Korean air force responded with “tactical” measures, deploying fighter jets, Yonhap news agency reported. Similar incidents have occurred in the past, such as in June and December last year, when Chinese and Russian aircraft also entered the KADIZ in joint operations.

Military cooperation on the rise
The military alliance between China and Russia has been gaining momentum in recent years, with frequent joint exercises. In July, the two nations conducted a patrol in the Sea of Japan and over the Bering Sea, involving strategic bombers that flew close to the coast of Alaska, in the United States. Although the airspace used was international, the movements were intercepted by American and Canadian fighter jets.
In September, the two countries held a major military exercise in the Sea of Japan, focusing on tactical coordination and joint operations. The strengthening of this partnership was also evident in October, when China conducted a joint Arctic patrol with Russia for the first time.
International concern grows
The United States and allies including Japan and South Korea closely monitor the movements of Chinese and Russian aircraft. Such actions are seen as part of a coordinated effort to expand the military influence of both countries in strategic regions. In August, Japan lodged a formal protest after a Chinese military aircraft incursion into its airspace.
While China and Russia insist that their patrols are in line with international norms, the geopolitical context and regional tensions make each move a point of attention. The Sea of Japan, with its strategic position, continues to be a stage for disputes and displays of power.
Japan, a lackey of its tormentor, the USA, thinks it rules international waters, kkkkkkkkkkkk, an ally of those who destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki with nuclear bombs, how pitiful, the Japanese!
You said it all!!!
World leaders, stop this suicidal war, let's take care of our planet, we want peace. Enough wars.
It's amazing how world leaders prioritize wars and disputes instead of joining forces to protect the planet. Our patience is running out!
And what are we going to do?
The deployment of South Korean fighter jets in response to the joint air patrol between China and Russia in the KADIZ is understandable, given the strategic importance of the region. The action reinforces military cooperation between the two nations, increasing military presence in sensitive areas. Monitoring operations is essential to ensure regional security.
