Energisa opens solar energy complex in Uberlândia, MG
Alsol Energias Renováveis, a company belonging to the Energisa group, today inaugurated a new solar energy complex in Uberlândia, in the state of Minas Gerais. The Granja Marileusa I plant was inaugurated, with 6 peak megawatts of generation capacity. With an investment of R$ 100 million, two more photovoltaic plants will be delivered by the end of November.
The inauguration was attended by the governor of the state of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema. The governor highlighted the importance of energy in attracting investments to the state. In addition, Zema also spoke about the importance of the privatization of Cemig – Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais. Zema informed that “It is the only viable solution today. Another alternative would be the investment of R$ 15 billion in the company. The government cannot even pay civil servants on time”.
