Within 5 years, the outsourcing of logistics established by Starrett, a factory of saws, tools and measuring instruments, headquartered in São Paulo, generated a 200% increase in the company's operating volume. Every month, around one million kilograms of manufactured products are sold and processed in the new logistics operation. The new logistics area is located in Hortolândia, in the interior of São Paulo.

As a result, the factory sought a strategic solution to move from its warehouse to the distribution center in São Paulo. Today, the Department of Logistics of Starrett has more than 60 employees, including internal and external employees, an average of 12 thousand control items and also maintains partnerships with the main delivery representatives in the market with a performance of 97% of delivery. Currently, logistics serves 100% of the national territory and more than 40 countries.
For the manager, maintaining cooperation and balance between all areas related to the logistics department, providing partnerships with all correlated sectors is one of the great challenges.
For the future, the proposal aims at the decentralization of Starrett's distribution center in São Paulo and the development of some international, advanced distribution points.

Starrett is one of the largest manufacturers of saws, tools and measuring instruments in the world and began in the United States in 1880 when Laroy S. Starrett invented the combination square. Its history in Brazil began in 1956.
