According to the group's president, Rodrigo Vilaça, in an interview with Estadão, 67 employees are needed per aircraft, whether inside the vehicle or working on the ground. The company should start work in March next year.

However, even starting only next year, the first aircraft should arrive this month. According to him, by the end of 2020, Ita Transportes Aéreos will receive three Airbus A320 aircraft out of a total of ten planned for the first phase. The first should arrive in October. If everything goes according to plan, in three years, there will be 56 aircraft.

According to Vilaça, almost 50 people are working to put the project on its feet and the creation of the airline is foreseen in the judicial recovery plan. According to the president of the group, Ita Transportes Aéreos was born dissociated from the judicial recovery, free of any debt.

This is even the company's big bet. While its competitors are in a moment of crisis and difficulties, Ita has no debts. “We are not carrying any heavy structure. Let's start with a clean operation”, says the president of Itapemirim.

Currently, the company is in the second of five phases that Anac needs to certify. The first steps are more bureaucratic, in which the agency analyzes the formal request and the necessary documents. In phase 4, the company's manuals and programs are approved and, in the last phase, the operation is certified. After all this process, the concession is published by the board of ANAC.
