Creator of the world’s largest spraying drone, announces its “Turing” AI for agribusiness. With an expected investment of R$100 million, the startup plans to build a mega factory for large-scale production of robots and drones, increasing precision and efficiency in rural management.

A Brazilian startup that had already surprised the market by creating the world's largest spraying drone is now betting on artificial intelligence that promises to be a real game-changer for rural producers. And the impact could be even greater than expected.
According to the site Globo Rural, Psyche Aerospace, a company based in São José dos Campos (SP), announced the opening of a new round of investments to finance its latest innovation: the AI “Turing”, nicknamed “Agricultural ChatGPT”.

The goal is to capture more than R $ million 100 and build a factory 100 thousand square meters in the interior of São Paulo, in a location yet to be defined between Campinas, Itupeva or Cajamar.
Expansion and high technology
The factory, which should cost between US$40 and US$60 million, will be responsible for large-scale production of six robots specialized in crop monitoring and analysis.
The company has already stood out in the sector with the development of Harpy P-71, considered the largest agricultural spraying drone in the world.
This model was financed by a round of investment from R $ million 17 carried out in April 2024, in addition to an initial contribution of R $ million 4 in October 2023.
Psyche Aerospace's product line includes:
- Harpy P-71: Spraying drone with one hour autonomy and capacity to cover 40 hectares per hour;
- Hexa Harpy: Another spraying model, optimized for different types of crops;
- I knew: Aerial monitoring drone, focused on crop analysis;
- Carcará: Equipment designed for detecting fires and environmental occurrences in the field;
- Rover Armadillo: Ground robot specialized in collecting soil samples;
- Rover Goliath: Capable of measuring soil moisture and temperature with high accuracy.
Psyche Aerospace's new industrial plant will have the capacity to produce three Harpia drones (P-71 or Hexa), three Sabiás, one Carcará, five Armadillo Rovers and three Golias Rovers per day.
Advanced testing and innovation
Psyche Aerospace's drones are already in the final testing phase.
Em December 29, 2024, P-71 Harpia made its first 100% autonomous flight, taking off, following the route and landing automatically.
The tests took place on a farm in Mato Grosso, while the models Carcará and Sabiá are in the testing phase in São José dos Campos. The Rovers will undergo validation in the coming weeks.
Artificial intelligence and high precision
Psyche's big bet now is Turing artificial intelligence, which aims integrate real-time data collected by all company equipment.
To develop the technology, CEO Gabriel Leal, 24, recruited Professor Anderson Rocha, coordinator of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at Unicamp's Computer Science Institute.
According to Rocha, the difference between Turing is in the capacity of direct interaction with rural producers.
“He is able to adapt to each farm, understanding the specific needs of each producer to offer personalized solutions,” he explains.
The technology also stands out for the precision of the images captured.
While common satellites work with 40×40 cm pixels, Psyche's sensors work with 4×4 cm pixels, offering a resolution 200 times greater.
This means more accurate data analysis and more effective decision-making for the farmer.
Leal compares Turing to Chat GPT original, but highlights an important difference: While OpenAI's AI relies on public data, Turing combines this information with data collected in the field, offering a highly specialized service.
The system will be free for producers and is scheduled to be launched in the next six months.
