Ambev receives R$546,9 million from Sudene for expansion in Itapissuma, generating 1.468 new jobs and strengthening the industrial hub.

Recently, the Board of Directors of the Superintendence for the Development of the Northeast (Sudene) approved tax incentives for 24 projects in the region, totaling R$861,4 million in investments. Among the projects benefiting, the investment by Ambev, which received approval for an investment of R$546,9 million. This amount is the largest among the approved requests and aims to strengthen Ambev's operations in the Northeast, creating new jobs and boosting the region's economy.

About the Ambev factory

A factory Ambev's beer factory located in Itapissuma, Pernambuco, is one of the largest beer and soft drink manufacturing units in the North, Northeast and Central-West regions of Brazil.

Opened in March 2014, the unit also stands out as a yeast production hub for the entire country and, last year, became a leader in the production of zero-alcohol beers in these regions.

Ambev and the impact of expansion in Itapissuma

With the new investment, Ambev plans to create 1.468 new jobs in Itapissuma.
