Despite using different platforms, the Honda Accord Hybrid and the CR-V feature the same e:HEV system, which is more powerful than the Honda Civic Hybrid.
Most of the time, the Honda it keeps a pretty low profile when it comes to its launch strategy. The company always defends that it “does not comment on future intentions”, but last year, in 2022, it made the decision to play with an open card. The manufacturer had disclosed all its releases in advance, with the exception of just one model: the new Honda Accord Hybrid.
The hybrid Honda Accord, which debuted in the United States in November last year, is confirmed for Brazil and is expected to enter our market in the second half of this year. There's a good chance it will be Honda's last product launch of the action-packed 2022. The company has already announced the production of four more models, in addition to the civic hybrid recently released.
The next vehicle on the agenda should be the Honda ZR-V, which is a medium SUV derived from the Civic and which will compete with the Toyota Corolla Cross.

The next model to be launched is the Honda Civic Type-R, a more sporty and spicy variant of the medium model, which will mark the return of the Civic hatchback to Brazil. When it comes to SUVs, Honda will prioritize the CR-V hybrid over the Accord.
The Accord and CR-V use the same e:HEV hybrid system, which is more powerful than the hybrid Civic's technology. However, the two use separate platforms.
The electric set that drives the vehicles produces 207 horsepower and 34,1 kgfm of torque, quite comparable to the Civic: 184 horsepower and 32,1 kgfm of torque. However, all three come with the same engine, which serves as a power generator, 2.0 four-cylinder.
The front of the Honda Accord hybrid features slim headlamps attached to the front grille, while the bumper has trapezoidal air vents attached to a gray trim.
When compared to the previous version of the Honda Accord that went on sale in Brazil, the 2024 model is much more moderate. The front has slim headlamps set into the front grille and the bumper has trapezoidal air vents connected to a gray finish. The excess chrome plating of the previous generation has been left out.
Just so you know, chrome is only present on a portion of the window frame on the new Accord. The vehicle's coupe format has been preserved, with the trunk lid positioned at an angle parallel to the glass. However, the overall contours of the bodywork have been limited to give it an attractive appearance. The lanterns are interconnected and their overall design is quite sophisticated.
As before, the interior of the Honda Accord Hybrid makes it look like a Civic. The air vents are interconnected and the multimedia center is suspended. Also, the steering wheel is the same. The air conditioning controls are designed according to the current Honda standard, which starts with the City, goes through the HR-V and, finally, arrives at the huge Accord sedan.
Pricing information for Brazil has not yet been released; however, it is reasonable to predict that when the Accord is launched in the second half of the year, its price will not be less than R$300.000.
