Karoon is expected to use the same drilling rig for the development of the Patola oil field and for drilling in Neon, in the Santos basin
Last Thursday (28), Karoon Energy announced plans to acquire necessary equipment for the Patola field, in the Santos basin and chose TechnipFMC to supply long-term items for the development of the asset. Petrobras reports the death of an employee in an accident that occurred yesterday (31/01) at the FPSO Cidade de Mangaratiba.

According to the report released in the company's financial and operational balance sheet, referring to the fourth quarter of 2020, the tenders involving the works that will be carried out for oil well interventions and development of the Patola field, are already being carried out by the Australian Karoon .
The oil company awaits the Final Investment Decision on the development of the area by the end of the second quarter of 2021.

Karoon Tenders in Brazil
In addition to the tenders for oil well interventions and the development of the Patola field, the company is also conducting a tender for the potential drilling of a control well in the Neon discovery, also in the Santos basin.
Karoon is expected to use the same drilling rig for the development of the Patola oil field and for drilling at Neon.
Also informed in Karoon's quarterly report were the results and plans for the Baúna field, recently purchased from Petrobras. The acquisition of the asset turned the oil company into one of the largest oil producers on the Australian stock exchange.
According to the company the FPSOs Cidade de Itajaí, which operates in the area, will have an annual scheduled maintenance shutdown of eight days during the month of February.
Karoon had production of nearly 15 barrels of oil per day during the quarter at the field and plans to increase this volume through low-risk optimization of existing production wells and development of the Patola discovery.
