Bracell's new tissue paper factory will be sustainable, 100% automated and will generate more than 2.000 construction jobs and 550 permanent jobs.
Bracell, one of the main cellulose producers in Brazil and belonging to the Asian group Royal Golden Eagle (RGE), is making a significant investment of R$5 billion in its operations in Lençóis Paulista, São Paulo. Half of this amount will be allocated to the construction of a modern factory of tissue paper, while the other half will be invested in a production unit for essential chemical components for the cellulose manufacturing process. Furthermore, the company will generate many permanent and temporary job openings during and after the construction of the factory.

The new tissue paper factory, which is being built next to Bracell's cellulose plant, promises to be the largest of its kind in Latin America.
With civil works starting in April, the expectation is that the factory will begin operating in 2024, generating jobs in the Lençóis Paulista region.

The unit will have four tissue paper production lines, which will be used to manufacture toilet paper and towel paper, with a production capacity of 240 thousand tons per year.
Bracell is committed to making its new tissue paper factory one of the most modern and sustainable in the country.
The company plans to operate the unit in a 100% automated and fossil fuel-free manner, reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability.

The R$5 billion, which will be invested by Bracell, represents a milestone for the State of São Paulo, being the largest private investment in the last 20 years in the region.
Creation of jobs and benefits for the community
The construction of the tissue paper factory in Lençóis Paulista will be an important milestone for the region.
It is expected to create more than 2.000 temporary jobs during the construction phase, in addition to 550 permanent jobs once the factory is operational.
This represents a significant boost to the local economy and community.
In addition to the new tissue paper factory, Bracell is already known for having the “greenest and most modern cellulose factory in the world” in Lençóis Paulista.
The company uses eucalyptus waste and other substances originating in the cellulose production process to generate renewable energy, eliminating the use of fossil fuels.
The plant also has plans to expand its production capacity, increasing its production of dissolving pulp and kraft pulp to up to 3 million tons per year.
