A mining company is planning billion-dollar investments to extract rare earths. The new venture, located in Goiás, promises to generate thousands of jobs in the region, boosting the local economy and strengthening the mining sector.
The governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado, together with vice-governor Daniel Vilela, recently signed a protocol of intentions with the mining company Aclara Resources to begin the ambitious Carina Project. This project, aimed at the extraction of rare earths in the municipality of Nova Roma, located in the Northeast of Goiás, involves significant investments, estimated at R$2,8 billion. The expectation is that this massive investment will generate approximately 5,7 direct and indirect job openings in the region, boosting the local economy and placing Goiás in the spotlight in the mining sector. This venture, in addition to promoting economic development, reinforces the state's commitment to the sustainable use of its natural resources, opening new growth opportunities for the population of Goiás.
When will the mining company be built?
According to the state governor, the company Aclara has experience in rare earths and uses modern technology. The project will be implemented in one of the most needy regions of the state of Goiás, without causing any type of negative impact.

Vice-governor Daniel Vilela reinforced the mining company's investments and the government aims to undertake in his state, in the most deprived region in terms of jobs, a place that depends heavily on public authorities for human and social development. The rare earths project must be built within two years, during which time job creation will begin, and production will begin in 62 months. Positive impacts of new investments in rare earths
A study presented by the mining company indicates that the installation of the unit in Nova Roma aims to increase the social and economic development of the municipality. According to Environment Secretary Andréa Vulcanis, it is a large investment and all environmental criteria will be required like any other project in the state.
