🔥 Argentina wants to build a wall on the border and separate territory with Brazil! Javier Milei's government is moving forward with a controversial plan to strengthen territorial control between Missions and Santa Catarina, claiming to combat crime and the irregular flow of goods. The proposal has already generated comparisons with the US barrier on the border with Mexico and raises intense debates about security, trade and regional integration.

Will this be the solution or a new problem between the two countries? Understand the impacts of this decision that could change the Brazil-Argentina relationship! 🚨

Argentine minister confirms plan and warns of risks on border with Brazil

In interview with Mitre Radio, the Minister of Security of Argentina, Patricia Bullrich, confirmed that the country intends to intensify control within territorial limits with the Brazil. According to her, inspection will be reinforced in vulnerable points, such as the region of Bernardo de Irigoyen, neighboring city to Dionisio Cerqueira, where the crossing can be done on foot.

“Now let's focus on the border de Missions to Brazil, where there are many easily accessible stretches, facilitating illicit activities”, highlighted Bullrich.

Crime and exchange rate drive tougher security

The minister pointed out that the increase in crime in the region is one of the main reasons for adopting this new policy. The presence of criminal groups involved in the drug trafficking and murders committed by gunmen are central concerns for the government of milei. In addition, Bullrich mentioned that the exchange rate disparity between the Argentine peso and the Brazilian real has encouraged illegal trade and the irregular flow of goods between the two countries.

“We are advancing in strengthening the borders, occupying the critical points. With this, we will have a territory much more controlled”, highlighted the minister.

Measure divides opinions and raises questions

The Argentine government's plan has already generated discussions about its impact on the movement of people and trade between the two countries. Critics say the initiative could harm regional integration, while supporters of the measure argue that the action is essential to curb cross-border crimes and reinforce the sovereignty of the territory .
