The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) announced this week the opening of a new competition with opportunities for the Air Force Sergeants Training Course, with entry expected in the second half of 2025. This FAB competition is a great opportunity for young Brazilians who wish to pursue a military career and contribute to one of the most respected institutions in the country.

Those interested in participating in the FAB competition of both sexes must have completed high school and must be in the age range between 17 and 25 years old until December 31, 2025. It is important to mention that 20% of vacancies in the Brazilian Air Force are reserved for black candidates, as provided by law.
The Brazilian Air Force Sergeants Training Course will be held at the Aeronautics Specialists School (EEAR), located in Guaratinguetá (SP), on a military boarding school basis.

Expected to last two years, successful candidates in the FAB competition will have the opportunity to specialize in one of the various areas offered, such as Communications, Electricity and Instruments, Aircraft Mechanics, among others. Upon reaching the position of third sergeant, graduates will have an initial base pay of R$ 3.825,00, in addition to benefits such as food, accommodation, uniforms, medical-hospital and dental assistance.

Registration for the FAB competition is open and will continue until the day 24 July 2024. The selection process will consist of some eliminatory and qualifying stages, starting with the Written Test, scheduled to be held on December 1st. This phase will cover fundamental subjects such as Portuguese Language, English Language, Mathematics and Physics, with a total duration of 4 hours and 20 minutes.
The test locations include several cities across Brazil, guaranteeing access to candidates from various regions. After the written test, candidates will undergo a Health Inspection, a Psychological Aptitude Exam and a Physical Conditioning Assessment Test, in addition to Documentary Validation. The preliminary answer sheets will be published shortly after the test, on December 2nd, on the official registration website.
Those approved in all stages must register and prepare to start the course on July 2, 2025. It is essential to remember that the validity of the FAB competition will be 5 calendar days, from the date following registration and start activities in the Sergeants Training Course.
Other vacancies in the Brazilian Air Force
The Brazilian Air Force also announced another selective process aimed at Brazilians interested in joining the Voluntary Military Service to serve on the Summoned 2nd Class Reserve Officers Board (QOCON MED).
Registration for the FAB competition will begin on July 8, directly through the Brazilian Air Force Temporary Convocation website. The objective of the call notice is to hire medical professionals, focusing on the years 2024 and 2025.
To compete for one of the vacancies in the Brazilian Air Force, candidates must have a higher education degree, as well as specialization in the medical field in which they wish to compete. Other than that, the candidate must also be at least 41 years old by the date of incorporation. Interested parties can obtain more information by accessing the notice available on the FAB Temporary Call page and selecting the unit of interest.
