After approval by the Brazilian Army, new helicopters will receive new weapons in single and mixed configurations

A new Brazilian Army ordinance was published on December 23, nº 933-EME/C Ex of December 16, which approved technical requirements, logistical and industrial aspects of its helicopter armament system, the so-called EB20-RTLI-04.047.

The approval of the new ordinance of the Brazilian Army defined that the HA-1A Fennec (AS550 A2) and HM-1A Pantera (AS365 K2) helicopters, in their attack configurations, must receive the following weapons, in addition to also allowing accommodation, in flight , from the guns mounted outside the helicopters:

In addition to carrying new weapons, the Brazilian Army helicopters will also have targets and images, sensors with an EOP (Electric-Optical Platform) type infrared system, white-hot and black-hot modes, day and night sensors, distance meter with a maximum error of 20m and target illuminator.

These requirements that are described in the approved ordinance of the Brazilian Army will serve as a parameter for enabling the SiAAIH supply. The approval of the ordinance also guarantees a “watershed” for the Brazilian army to introduce the use of missiles in their vectors, such as the Spike LR2.
