The 8th Military Region of the Brazilian Army announced this Friday, December 6, that it has an open selection process for temporary technical officers with salaries that can reach R$8,2 thousand. The vacancies in the Brazilian Army are aimed at professionals in Journalism, Public Relations and Bachelor's Degree in History to serve in Belém (PA).
Who can participate in the Brazilian Army selection process?
Those interested in applying for vacancies in the Brazilian Army must meet certain criteria, such as:
- Achieve the minimum scores in the physical test, as per the Selection Notice;
- Be between 19 and 40 years old by the date of incorporation;
- Be up to date with military and electoral obligations;
- Do not have a criminal record;
- Be eligible for Health Inspection.

The temporary officer is one of the categories of Temporary Army Officers, intended for citizens with completed higher education. It serves several areas of interest to the Force. Admission is voluntary and occurs through a solution conducted by the Military Regions, which establish the period and vacancies in the Army for each area.
After incorporation, the approved candidate undertakes the Technical Service Internship (EST) to provide Temporary Technical Service (SvTT), lasting 12 months, divided into two phases with different objectives.
Stages of the Brazilian Army selection process
Those interested in participating in the selection process for vacancies in the Army must register by December 15th. The application form can be accessed via the official link. The Brazilian Army selection process consists of a physical aptitude test:
- Abdominal crunches: 20 repetitions for men and 14 for women (no time limit);
- Push-ups on the floor: 10 repetitions for men and 6 for women (no time limit);
- Free race: minimum of 1.600 meters for women and 1.800 meters for men, in up to 12 minutes.
Candidates must also be Brazilian-born, have a minimum height of 1,60m for men and 1,55m for women, and be up to date with their military service and Electoral Court obligations. In addition, they cannot have been convicted in the last four years for criminal proceedings related to public assets.
Temporary technical officers must provide services to the Army for a minimum period of 12 months, with a maximum period of stay of up to 8 years.
