More than 55 Brazilian companies participated in the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 2024, which ended this Thursday in Houston, United States. The event, recognized as the most important in the world in the oil and gas area, focused on the offshore supply chain and had a strong Brazilian presence, which stood out for its active participation in discussions on technology and innovation for a sustainable energy future .
Energy transition in focus
During the five days of the conference, Brazilian companies in the Oil and gas They played a fundamental role in several activities, from business rounds to panels and strategic meetings, discussing mainly the transition to a more sustainable and low-carbon energy model.
Brazilian contribution at the forefront of innovation

International recognition of Petrobras
One of the highlights for Brazil at the OTC was the presentation of the “Distinguished Achievement Award” to Petrobras, which was recognized for its innovations in the Campos Basin, especially in the Marlim field. The award, received by Jean Paul Prates, president of Petrobras, highlights the technological advances that allowed a significant increase in production in the region, highlighting the technical and innovative potential of the Brazilian company.
Integration and cooperation on the global stage
The event was also the stage for other significant meetings involving Brazilian professionals. The “6th Meeting of Brazilians”, organized by FGV Energia, and the “Brazil Energy Meeting”, which took place on the eve of the OTC, are examples of how Brazilian companies are seeking not only to inform themselves, but also to share knowledge and foster international partnerships .
