New mining opportunities in Tiros: investment of R$500 million in rare earths and titanium generates expectations of 200 new direct jobs!

A big step towards mining em Minas Gerais! A Resouro Strategic Metals, a Canadian subsidiary, announced that it will invest up to R $ million 500 in the extraction of rare Lands e titanium in Tiros, located between Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba. With this investment, the forecast is to generate up to 200 direct jobs in the region, boosting the local economy.

Start of operations scheduled for 2026

The operations of Strategic Mineral Shots are scheduled to begin in 2026. Resouro, which is headquartered in Belo Horizonte and is listed on the stock exchanges of Toronto, Australia and OTCQB our USA, specializes in the development of critical mineral resources, essential for decarbonization technologies, such as electric vehicles and wind turbines, according to the website hojeemdia.

Project Tiros: significant potential

From 2023, the company has been investing in mineral research in Tiros Project – Rare Earths and Titanium. So far, an impressive reserve of around 1 billion tons of ore, with significant contents of titanium oxide (12%) and magnetic rare earths (4000 ppm). The main elements present in this deposit include Neodymium (Nd), Praseodymium (Pr), Dysprosium (Dy) e Terbium (Tm), fundamental for several technological applications.

Impact on local development

Fernando Passalio, Secretary of State of Economic Development, states that this project consolidates Minas Gerais as a strategic and competitive destination for investors in sustainable technological solutions. “This investment will strengthen the local production chain, generating qualified jobs and promoting regional development, in addition to reinforcing our commitment to Race to Zero."He said.

A cycle of innovation and sustainability

João Paulo Braga, CEO of Invest Minas, highlighted the importance of Resouro's arrival for the generation of a cycle of employment, income and innovation in the region. “The potential of rare Lands e titanium in Minas Gerais places the state at the center of global discussions on technological security and energy transition,” he added.

These minerals are essential for the production of super magnets, advanced batteries, medical prosthetics and high-resistance alloys, indispensable for sectors such as renewable energy, electric mobility e aerospace industry.

Minas Gerais stands out with investment in rare earths

With significant investments like this, Minas Gerais positions itself as a hub of innovation and development in mining, opening up new opportunities and consolidating its importance on the global stage. The rare Lands and the titanium are more than resources; they are the key to the sustainable future of technology and the economy.

If you go to the city of Tiros, it is not in the triangle but in Alto Paranaíba, close to São Gotardo and Matutina. More towards the central region!!

Rio Tinto, a multinational company, is also researching titanium in the municipality of Andrelândia, MG, a city in the south of Minas Gerais, served by the two largest railways in the country, VLi and MRS (Steel Railway). The city is located between the three most important capitals in Brazil, Rio, São Paulo and Belo Horizonte, served by BR 494, requiring the paving of only 35 km connecting Santana do Garambéu, thus connected to Barbacena BR 040, to São Paulo and Rezende via Andrelândia, shortening 130 km and without tolls.
