The bridge represents a R$25 million investment in urban infrastructure. Find out how the project will impact local mobility.
Joinville, a city that is a benchmark in urban development, is about to take a significant leap forward in its road infrastructure.
Between expectations, tight deadlines and million dollar investments, the city announces the construction of a bridge that promises to revolutionize the connection between important neighborhoods.
With a layout of almost 200 meters and a cost of more than R$ 25 million, this project puts Joinville on the radar of ambitious infrastructure projects. But what is known so far about this new “curved” bridge?

A Anemone Bridge, as it was named, will have approximately 182,5 meters long, connecting the streets Anêmonas and Esteves Junior and connecting the neighborhoods Guanabara and Fátima.
According to NSC Total portal, the distinctive design, which includes a curve, marks a unique architectural element in Joinville.
According to the city hall, the work will be financed by the IDB, which, in 2018, approved the loan now used in several city initiatives.
The bidding process underwent some changes and reopened after the review of the notice, which updated the maximum contract value to R$25,9 million.
The proposals will be evaluated in December 2024, and, if there are no impediments, execution should begin by the end of the first half of 2025, with completion expected in 18 months.
Review of the notice and new conditions for the project
The city hall announced a review of the Anêmonas Bridge tender, including changes to the cost of the work, which rose from R$24,9 million to R$25,9 million.
As detailed by the municipal administration, the work is also part of a road requalification plan with a future tender to improve access roads.
The temporary suspension, which lasted two weeks, allowed changes to be made to the notice to ensure the financial viability of the project and efficient execution.
After construction, Joinville intends to implement a new binary near the bridge, optimizing local traffic.
The Anêmonas area with Guanabara will have to undergo adaptations to facilitate the flow.
This change aims not only to benefit residents of neighborhoods directly connected by the bridge, but also to improve urban mobility in one of the busiest regions of the city.
The role of the IDB and the urban restructuring of Joinville
Since 2018, Joinville has benefited from a loan from the IDB (Inter-American Development Bank) to expand its infrastructure.
The IDB made this resource available to finance not only the Anêmonas Bridge, but other strategic works, reinforcing the city's growth potential.
Financial structuring aims to provide a positive impact on both the economy and the population's quality of life.
Other bridges in Joinville and road expansion
In addition to the Anêmonas Bridge, Joinville has another project underway, with completion scheduled for 2026: the 980-meter bridge that will connect the Adhemar Garcia and Boa Vista neighborhoods, at an impressive cost of R $ million 310.
This bridge is seen as a solution to alleviate traffic in the area and offer more efficient alternative routes.
Another work already completed is the Nacar Bridge, whose official inauguration still depends on the completion of the paving of Rua Coronel Francisco Gomes.
This improvement will be essential to ensure adequate access and avoid congestion at strategic points.
With these initiatives, Joinville is redesigning its urban landscape and charting a future of advanced mobility.
The commitment to sustainable development and improving road infrastructure demonstrates how much the city invests in long-term planning to strengthen its position in the regional and national economy.
How can the Anêmonas Bridge impact Joinville?
The construction of the Anêmonas Bridge represents not only a physical connection, but also a new perspective for the residents of the Guanabara and Fátima neighborhoods.
This ambitious project could help ease traffic, reduce travel times and strengthen the local economy with new commercial and logistical opportunities.
