Bridge in full swing! With almost 50% of the work completed, a new video reveals the impressive progress of the R$400 million structure. The mega construction will generate jobs and facilitate connections on the coast of Paraná. See the details and the impact of this grand infrastructure project!
The works of Get up from Guaratuba, on the coast of Paraná, are progressing at a fast pace and have already reached almost 50% completion, according to a report released in February 2025.
The construction, budgeted at around R $ million 400, promises to boost the local economy, generate jobs and resolve a historic bottleneck in mobility in the region.
A recent video, captured by drone and shared by photographer Almir Alves, from the Matinhos Agora profile, reveals the advances in the bridge's infrastructure.

Work progress: half completed
According to the technical report, the construction of the bridge is divided into two main parts: the cable-stayed section and precast section.
In recent months, there has been significant progress in the installation of piles, driving, excavation and concreting, in addition to the manufacture and launching of the longitudinal beams.
No cable-stayed section, which will have elevated towers and support cables, the piles and crowning blocks were completed, in addition to the concreting of the main pillars.
The next step will be starting stave, whose formwork technique will allow the construction of large spans without the need for shoring.
Now at precast section, the installation of precast concrete slabs – known as pre-slabs – is at an advanced stage.
These plates will serve as the base for the bridge's final slab. In addition, the installation of fixed cranes on the towers will facilitate the movement of materials and equipment in the next stages of the work.
Robust infrastructure and economic impact
So far, they have been completed 40 stakes, 16 of which are from the cable-stayed section and 24 from the precast section.
The bridge, in the end, will have 64 stakes in total.
In the superstructure, work progresses with the manufacture of precast longitudinal beams, of which 66 have already been produced and 41 installed on the crossbars.
The work not only will improve traffic in the region, eliminating the dependence on the ferry for crossing, as well as will boost tourism and the local economy.
With the bridge, a significant increase in the circulation of visitors is expected, benefiting hotels, restaurants and regional commerce.
Furthermore, experts point out that the project could boost the real estate sector, increasing the value of land and properties in the region, as the infrastructure develops and attracts new investors.
Challenges and expected completion
Despite the fast pace, the project faces challenges, such as adverse weather conditions and complex logistics for transporting materials.
However, the official forecast remains in place: the bridge should be delivered by the end of 2025.
Construction also has an impact on the supply of jobs.
It is estimated that hundreds of workers are directly involved in the work, boosting the local economy and promoting professional training in the infrastructure area.
According to experts, the project has the potential to stimulate even more hiring in the construction sector and related services, such as transportation and food for workers.
A historic work for Paraná
The Guaratuba Bridge represents a milestone in Paraná's infrastructure, connecting cities and promoting sustainable development.
With its completion, not only a leap in urban mobility is expected, but also significant economic growth for the entire coastal region.
In addition to the immediate benefits, the bridge is part of a set of initiatives aimed at modernizing the state's transport infrastructure.
Authorities emphasize that the new crossing could pave the way for new connectivity projects in Paraná, better integrating the coast with the rest of the state and facilitating the flow of agricultural and industrial products. Click to see the work in real time!
