Automaker GAC recently launched the second generation of the Aion V in China, a new electric SUV from GAC that is part of the company's global sub-brand lineup. GAC has ambitious plans to open a car factory in Brazil, where Aion's electric models are among the most sought after.

The new Aion V, manufactured by GAC, received a significant facelift, especially at the front, which gained larger headlights and a new bumper with renewed air intakes. At the rear, the lights of GAC's new electric SUV are now arranged vertically, promoting a more modern and attractive design.
In terms of dimensions, the Aion V 2024 is slightly smaller than its predecessor. The vehicle, which provides excellent autonomy, currently measures 4,60 m long, 1,85 m wide and 1,66 m high, with a wheelbase of 2,77 m. The trunk has an initial capacity of 427 L, which can be expanded to 987 L with the seats folded down.

Automaker GAC offers two engine options for the Aion V, both with just a single electric motor. The basic version produces 203 hp and 24,47 kgfm of torque, while the more powerful version generates 224 hp while maintaining the same torque. Both accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7,9 seconds.

The Aion V is available with lithium iron phosphate batteries of various capacities, namely 62,3 kWh, 62,7 kWh, 75 kWh, 75,3 kWh and 90,2 kWh. According to the CLTC cycle, these Batteries They offer ranges of 520 km, 650 km and 750 km, respectively. With the 400V charging architecture, the batteries can recover up to 370 km of range in just 15 minutes of charging.
The combination of motors and batteries is available in 11 different versions, which vary according to the equipment packages offered. All models come equipped with a 14,6-inch multimedia center and an LCD digital panel.

One of the great attractions of GAC's new electric SUV is its advanced autonomous driving system, the ADiGO Pilot, managed by the NVIDIA Orin-X chip. In the more sophisticated models, the SUV is equipped with lidar on the roof, millimeter wave radars, 11 cameras and 12 ultrasonic radars, giving the vehicle an intelligent and radical drive.
In China, GAC's new electric SUV has prices ranging between 129.800 and 189.800 yuan. Although the automaker GAC has not yet confirmed which models it will bring to Brazil, some cars from the Aion line were displayed during a visit by Chinese executives to the state of Amapá, one of the locations listed for the installation of the new factory.
