CEO of Lubvap Lubrificantes Especiais explains about Nanotechnology, the molecular technology that reached the lubricant market

Nano products offer better machine performance compared to chemical additives

Nanotechnology is a way of controlling molecules on an atomic and molecular scale. It is used for the development of materials and components in order to make structures more stable and perform better. Thus, it is possible for an element to gain unique properties, being stronger, thinner, resistant or durable and that can be used in various sectors of industry.

The lubrication sector is no different. Realizing a market need that is always looking for high performance in the performance of machinery, whether in agribusiness, food industry, automotive or offshore, the lubrication sector innovated by bringing lubricants that use nanotechnology in their products.

Lubrication is an important part of a complex mechanism to ensure the operation of the production chain of the various sectors and quality products that, in addition to increasing the useful life of machinery, guarantee production without downtime. “Lubricants need to deliver key production benefits such as longer relubrication intervals, longer parts life and increased productivity. Existing products on the market already deliver these qualities, but with nanotechnology, we managed to enhance the properties”, explains Luiz Maldonado, CEO of Lubvap Lubrificantes Especiais.

Lubricants produced with nanotechnology perform better than common lubricants, providing advantages that only molecular control is able to offer, such as reducing friction on parts, reaching areas that common products do not reach, or more efficient barrier formation. “We also observed that nano additives do not present rapid exhaustion like chemical additives, which increases the product change interval in the machinery.”, adds Maldonado.

In addition, the technology is able to meet the most diverse specificities, such as Lubvap Super Blue, indicated for long periods of lubrication, such as bearings or Lubvap Super Temp 2, which maintains its performance at high temperatures. “We also have Lubvap Super Load for high loads and Lubvap Super Elétric for electric motors. There is a complete range that can be used by all sectors”, concludes the CEO.
