Cattalini Terminais Marítimos invests in a safety project by acquiring a high-flow capacity Foam Proportioning Vehicle, model R560 Super XT, with Scania chassis and Mitren implementation, for the flammable product terminals in Paranaguá, reinforcing fixed and efficient systems. Positively evaluated by the Paraná Military Fire Department.

Cattalini Terminais Marítimos is promoting a significant safety project to increase protection at its flammable product terminals in Paranaguá. This initiative includes the acquisition of a high-flow capacity Foam Proportioning Vehicle, model R560 Super XT, with Scania chassis and Mitren implementation. The objective is to reinforce firefighting systems, ensuring greater efficiency and safety in port operations, especially in areas that store flammable liquids.

This solid safety project was widely praised by the Paraná Military Fire Department, which highlighted the importance of the measure for accident prevention. It is worth noting that the vehicle acquired is part of a broader prevention project, which includes other essential preventive measures for maintaining safety at the terminals. The investment in cutting-edge technology reflects the company's commitment to providing a safer work environment that is well protected against possible incidents.
Although we have fixed and efficient systems, the Foam Proportioning Vehicle (VPE) was acquired as additional and preventive equipment. This safety project is a crucial differentiator that helps control incidents in less time in storage terminals for flammable products. Perci Fregadolli Jr., operations manager and coordinator of the Emergency Brigade at Cattalini Terminais, highlighted the importance of this equipment.

Security design for storage terminals

To adapt to the physical characteristics of the Tanking Centers and the specificities of Cattalini's operations, the VPE prevention and assembly project was adapted to act effectively in incidents involving flammable products that require Foam Generating Liquid (LGE). This type of safety project is vital to minimize risks and promote a quick and efficient response in emergency situations.

One of the great highlights of VPE is its high flow capacity of solution (water + LGE), which reaches up to 11 thousand liters per minute, providing an extensive range and high precision in operations. Although this Foam Providing Vehicle does not store water, it has integrated pumping systems from fixed sources and is connected to the terminal's emergency prevention system.

Innovation in security design with high technology

Built on the robust chassis of the manufacturer Scania, model R560 Super XT, the VPE is the result of the work of Mitren, one of the largest companies implementing special vehicles in Brazil, responsible for installing the pump and foam generating liquid systems. This safety project also involves a safety initiative by preparing the Cattalini firefighter team through specific training in both emergency piloting and the operation of pumps in combat vehicles, ensuring 24-hour service availability.

The acquisition of this VPE, in addition to being a preventive measure, was well evaluated by the Fire Department, which considered it a successful action.

Fire Department Assessment for Safety Project

According to Major Douglas Martim Konflanz, who represents the Paraná Military Fire Department, they work with all their human resources, vehicles and equipment in emergency response in the port area. He emphasized that success in an emergency depends on the speed, forcefulness and robustness with which the incident is fought. In this scenario, the safety project implemented by Cattalini Terminais Marítimos, by including this truck in its structure, incorporates the essential elements for efficient emergency response.

The major also highlighted that this security initiative guarantees the health of the company's employees, protects its facilities, minimizes ecological impacts and ensures the maintaining social harmony for the surrounding community. Thus, the acquisition of VPE is not only a preventive measure, but a clear demonstration of commitment to the safety and well-being of everyone involved.
