The Chevrolet Blazer EV, an electric version of the SUV, is about to be launched in Brazil. Proof of this is that the first batch has already arrived at the Port of Vitória, in Espírito Santo. The information was revealed by General Motors on its LinkedIn profile on Monday (17).
At the beginning of the year, as published by Click Oil and Gas, the manufacturer had already confirmed an investment of R$7 billion in Brazil between 2024 and 2028 for several launches. However, the Blazer EV is part of a previous investment of R$10 billion, announced in 2021.
The medium SUV had already been seen testing on the streets of São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo, a city close to São Caetano do Sul, where the headquarters and one of GM's factories in Brazil are located. The newly arrived units in the country had their hood, bumpers, fenders and roof (probably solar and panoramic) covered.

According to the information, imported from Mexico, the Blazer EV will be offered in Brazil only in the RS sports version, which is equipped with two engines that deliver 565 hp and 89,5 kgfm.

The RS version is known for its sporty visual appeal, present in other models of the brand such as the Montana RS and the Tracker RS. Also according to the website mentioned, the Blazer RS EV stands out for its larger wheels and the “T” lighting that connects the headlights to the front grille, positioned below the hood, at the height of Chevrolet's black tie – at the rear, the headlights in “L” extends to the C column of the vehicle.
Price similar to rival BYD Tan
GM has not yet released the price of the Blazer EV, but the model is expected to cost more than R$500, competing directly with the BYD Tan, which has 517 hp and sells for R$529 thousand.
