The new generation of Chevrolet Bolt is scheduled to hit the market in 2025, bringing with it a series de news and innovations. The CEO of General Motors, Mary Barra, announced the launch date and guaranteed that the electric hatch will undergo significant changes in relation to the generation current.

One of the changes closest expected is a reduction in the price of the new Chevrolet Bolt, which currently sells for almost US$30 in the United States (R$146,9, in conversion). In Brazil, the price of an electric hatchback is no less than R$280, but with the arrival of the new generation, this value is expected to be significantly reduced.

According to the executive, the General Motors will replace the current batteries of lithium ions for a new generation of lithium iron phosphate cells (LFP). According to Mary Barra, this change will have a major impact on production costs and, consequently, on the final value of the product. Repercussion on prices and popularization of the model
General Motors has not yet announced any possible specifications of the new generation of Chevrolet Bolt, but the intention is to pass on the reduction in battery costs, around 20%, to the final price of the car.
This way, the electric hatch, which in the United States costs around US$30, would drop to less than US$25 and would be considered one of the most popular models. Could it be that, if the new Chevrolet Bolt comes to Brazil, it will also be 20% cheaper than the current one?
