Chevrolet has a model that continues to stand out in 2024 for its fuel economy and advanced technology. Even with strong competitors, the vehicle remains relevant, especially for those looking for an economical and reliable vehicle.

In the midst of an increasingly competitive automobile market, where SUVs and hybrid vehicles dominate the streets and consumer preferences, a compact sedan can stand out in 2024.

Many wonder: how did the Chevrolet Onix Plus manage to establish itself as one of the most attractive options for those looking for efficiency and savings? This car has something extra that makes it irresistible for Brazilians, but what could that be?

O Chevrolet Onix Plus continues to gain its space in the market, despite facing fierce competition. Your secret? A combination of modern design, impressive energy efficiency and a range of technological innovations.

This model not only offers a smooth and comfortable driving experience, but also stands out for its economical consumption, an essential feature in times of rising fuel prices.

Why Onix Plus shines in 2024?

In a market where price and efficiency are decisive, the Chevrolet Onix Plus stands out in 2024 for offering exactly what the Brazilian consumer is looking for.

Visually attractive and surprisingly economical, it is a sedan that can deliver more efficient driving and, at the same time, provide comfort and safety. These attributes are crucial for those looking for a reliable everyday vehicle.

According to experts, Onix Plus is ideal for those who want to save money, without giving up comfort and technology. With a 1.0 Turbo or 1.0 Aspirated engine, the sedan stands out especially for its fuel economy, which makes it a smart choice for those who want to reduce transport costs.

VersionMotorizationEstimated Price (Brazil)Estimated Price (Europe)
Onix Plus LTTurbo 1.0R$ 97.000€ 17.800
Onix Plus LTZTurbo 1.0R$ 104.000€ 19.000
Onix Plus PremierTurbo 1.0R$ 112.000€ 20.500

Fierce competition: who are the model’s rivals?

Despite the success of Onix Plus, it is not alone in competing for the hearts of Brazilian drivers. Models such as Fiat Cronos, Toyota Corolla, Volkswagen Virtus and Hyundai HB20S are its main competitors, each bringing its own advantages.

The Fiat Cronos, for example, offers a competitive price, mainly due to the exemption from import tariffs from Argentina.

However, the lack of hybrid versions can be a negative point for those looking for more sustainable alternatives. The Toyota Corolla, famous for its hybrid versions, stands out for its fuel economy, but its high price may put off potential buyers..

The Volkswagen Virtus offers a modern design and large internal space, but its price is a little higher compared to Onix Plus. The Hyundai HB20S, in turn, draws attention for its sporty design and a wide list of equipment, although its internal space is a little more limited.

The difference: impressive fuel economy

According to data from Inmetro, the Chevrolet Onix Plus is one of the most economical sedans in 2024. The 1.0 Aspirated model, for example, achieves an incredible 17,7 km/l on gasoline on the highway, which puts it ahead of many competitors. The version with the 1.0 Turbo engine also offers excellent economy, with 16,9 km/l on the highway with gasoline.

Performance comparison: How does Onix Plus fare against competitors?

To better understand Onix Plus' positioning in the market, it is essential to compare it with its main rivals. Onix Plus stands out in fuel consumption, especially on urban and highway journeys.

In terms of technology, it offers a MyLink multimedia center, Wi-Fi connection and induction cell phone charger, in addition to the OnStar security and connectivity system, features that increase its appeal among consumers.

However, Onix Plus has some disadvantages compared to its competitors. The internal space, for example, is good, but the 469 liter trunk is smaller than that of some rivals, such as the Fiat Cronos, which offers 525 liters.. Furthermore, the Onix Plus' engine, although efficient, is not the most powerful in its category, especially when compared to the Hyundai HB20S.

Changing consumer preferences: What is the impact on Onix Plus?

The Brazilian automotive market is constantly evolving, with a growing demand for SUVs and hybrid vehicles. Even so, Onix Plus has managed to remain relevant, thanks to its efficiency and the cost-benefit it offers.

Consumer preferences are changing, but Onix Plus appears well positioned to continue to attract a loyal following, especially those who value fuel economy and a robust technology package.

Will the Chevrolet Onix Plus be able to maintain its prominent position in such a dynamic market? Upcoming technological innovations and market strategies will certainly be decisive for the future of this iconic sedan. With the advancement of electric and hybrid vehicles, Onix Plus will have to adapt to remain competitive.

Part of your article is a lie, my friend! I have an Onix Plus LTZ turbo automatic, my car doesn't even do close to 13km in the city. And another thing, the value of this car at the dealership is 124.900,00...

I had a Hatchback Premier, purchased in December 2019. I was happy with the car for 3 years. It was the year of the turbo! A huge curiosity! On trips of over 100 km, I had good average consumption. I took a trip of 260 km and reached the incredible mark of 18 km/l. But some precautions must be taken to achieve this. Engine speed, assess the type of road, whether it is mountainous or not, and especially have speed control. The ideal operating regime of the car should be known by the driver. Of course, only in the city, it should be around 11 to 14 km/l, which is a very good consumption mark!
