Geely's electrified SUV, the Galaxy Battleship, debuts first in China. It has an armored battery, performs advanced maneuvers and can float on water with the help of artificial intelligence.
Chinese manufacturer Geely revealed on Thursday (24), during the Auto Show Automotive insurance from Shanghai, an electrified SUV that promises to break the mold of off-road mobility. Named Galaxy Cruiser and with international translation as Galaxy Battleship, the model can float in water for up to two hours and features an impressive range of advanced technologies.
The SUV integrates an artificial intelligence-assisted propulsion system and offers breathtaking maneuvers, such as 360° turns, lateral displacement and even driving with a flat tire.
Design focused on resistance: protection against water, impacts and even bullets
the security of Galaxy Battleship is a highlight of the project. Geely equipped the vehicle with an armored battery, protected by materials resistant to fire, explosions and extreme impacts.

The bulletproof coating reinforces the brand's commitment to durability, even under severe conditions.
This structure allows the SUV to be used on rough terrain, floods and river crossings with much more safety and robustness.
In “boat” mode, the Galaxy Battleship can reach speeds of up to 8,5 km/h in water, navigating with the help of integrated radar and sonar — features that help detect underwater obstacles and facilitate crossings in hard-to-reach places.
With this innovation, Geely follows the trend of amphibious vehicles presented the previous year by BYD, with the U8 model.
Without revealing yet the motorization Finally, Geely reported that the SUV will feature an intelligent system to switch between three modes: electric, hybrid and range extender.
The onboard artificial intelligence will be responsible for evaluating the environment and automatically activating the most efficient type of propulsion.
In addition, the four-wheel drive will feature algorithms that enable maneuvers previously exclusive to specialized vehicles.
China will be the first market to receive Geely's SUV
Geely has not yet announced the start date for production of the Galaxy Battleship, but has already confirmed that the model will initially debut in the Chinese market.
The expectation is that the SUV will reinforce the brand's positioning as a reference in automotive innovation, directly rivaling names like BYD and expanding the Chinese industry's presence in the futuristic and multifunctional vehicle segment.
