IFMA announces online IT course with thousands of vacancies. IT course with certificate also offers a scholarship of R$3. Find out how to participate.
The Instituto Federal do Maranhão (IFMA) Campus Monte Castelo is accepting applications from October 10 to November 03 for the simplified selection process of the ICT Residency Project, an innovative initiative that aims to offer a free online IT course for the training and improvement of students and professionals in the area of information and communication technologies (ICT). The objective of the certified IT course is to offer initial and continuing education (FIC) courses in Embedded Systems, in the distance learning (EaD) modality.
The selection for the free online course involves the total offer of 1.000 places, of which 500 are aimed at the internal community of IFMA employees and students, which is a training center for the program, and 500 places open to the community.

O IT course with certificate in Embedded Systems has a total workload of 160 hours, structured in synchronous and asynchronous classes, theoretical-practical challenges, mentoring and self-study. The program content ranges from an introduction to embedded systems to advanced concepts of microcontrollers, peripherals and Internet of Things (IOT).
At the end of the free online course, a selection will be held for the Technological Residency in Embedded Systems, where up to 100 students will be selected to work on real projects, in partnership with companies.
The IFMA technology residency will be held in a hybrid format, online and in person at the Monte Castelo campus. Participants in the online IT course will receive a monthly stipend of R$3,1 and will have 12 months of practical training with advanced knowledge paths.
Who can participate in the IT course with certificate?
Regarding the target audience of the selection process, the notice states that people from all over Brazil who are 18 years of age or older at the time of registration, in addition to having completed high school, can apply for the vacancies on the free online course.
It is also necessary to meet at least one of the following conditions: be enrolled in or have completed a technical level course in the areas of Industrial Control and Processes or Information and Communication, or a higher education or postgraduate course in the areas of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Engineering and related areas.
The selection also requires that the candidate present proven professional experience or specific skills in these areas.
Registration for the IT course with certificate will be carried out exclusively online, by filling out electronic forms, available on the Monte Castelo Campus website, with candidates having to attach documents such as ID, proof of enrollment, certificate of completion, updated CV and proof of residence.
Regarding the classification criteria, candidates for the online IT course will be classified based on the score obtained in the Cultural Fit (45 points in total), highest level of education and curriculum analysis. The expected date for the publication of the final result is November 07th, with classes starting on the 18th.
