Constellation won a millionaire contract from Petrobras to charter the drillship Amaralina Star for a project that will involve the drilling of 27 new oil wells

The tender was launched at the end of March, but the exact value of the contract is kept confidential, the daily rate remained between US$ 200/day and US$ 300/day.

Chartering of the drillship Amaralina Star will meet the project that will involve the drilling of 27 new oil wells. The system has been developed in partnership with Equinor, the asset's strategic partner, and is expected to start operating in mid-2024.

The Amaralina Star is chartered to Petrobras, operating under the exclusive dedication regime on the BM-S-11. The current contract expires in April.

After the conclusion of the BM-S-11 contract, the Constellation unit will undergo minor adaptation works to meet the requirements required for operation in Roncador.

Discovered in 1996 and put into operation in 1999, the Roncador field is one of the main fields in the Campos Basin. The asset has four production platforms (P-52, P-54, P-55 and P-62), which operate connected to around 50 producing wells.
