Remember when DJI was synonymous with expensive drones that made drone lovers happy? Well, times have changed and DJI decided to venture into new terrain.
After launching handheld cameras, stabilization systems, and even wireless microphones, now DJI has entered the world of electric bicycles with the Amflow PL and the innovative DJI Avinox Drive System.
DJI, famous for its drones and advanced technologies, decided to use all its expertise in batteries and motors to create a top-of-the-line electric bicycle. The Amflow PL promises to be the new darling of technological cyclists. Although the launch was discreet, with no videos on the official DJI channel, several cycling channels have already received the news to test.
A revolutionary DJI electric bike kit
The DJI Avinox Drive System is a kit for electric bicycles that promises to revolutionize the market. With a peak power of 850W and weighing just 2,5kg, it impresses with its efficiency. For those who don't know much about these specifications, most electric bike kits out there have an average of 350W and weigh much more.

It does not stop there! DJI not only created the kit, but also launched the brand Amflow, dedicated to electric bicycles that use its system. The complete bike, Amflow PL, is a spectacle of technology. The battery options are another show in themselves: a 600Wh battery, which weighs 2,87kg and has a range of up to 117km, and another 800Wh, weighing 3,75kg and a range of up to 157km. Of course, these numbers are for ideal conditions: flat road, light cyclist, economical mode… in real life, the autonomy can be much less.
Technology and connectivity
DJI's innovation is in the details. The system communicates via Bluetooth, eliminating the need for cables between the engine, control and panel, which reduces weight and makes life easier for cyclists. Furthermore, the bike has a 2-inch touch-sensitive screen, with a brightness of 800 nits, perfect for monitoring all the data in real time.
Another interesting feature is the walking assistance, great for when you need to push the bike, and the parking lock that eliminates the famous brick behind the wheel. The Amflow PL also comes with hill assistance, quick gear changes and compatibility with an app that alerts you if someone is tampering with your bike.
A new horizon for DJI
Of course, being DJI, the price may not be the most affordable, but the quality of the products justifies the investment. The electric bike will be launched between July and September this year and I bring the prices here. For those who enjoy cutting-edge technology and have no problem paying a little more for innovation, Amflow PL with DJI Avinox Drive System is a great option. So, what did you think of this new DJI foray into the electric bicycle market?
That was our talk today about DJI's new electric bicycle. Would we prefer a new drone? Perhaps. But it's cool to see the company expanding and bringing news to other sectors. Until next time, guys!
