Drivers who have been fined must be notified through a statement, which will inform them that the refund will be made with a 40% discount on the original amount of the fine. The notice for reimbursement will be published within 30 days.
After publication of the notice, the Detran/RN will register interested drivers on the service portal, which will take place over 90 days.
This registration period will allow users to request reimbursement. After this phase, Detran/RN will have another 90 days to screen the requests and refund the amounts, which will be done between March 1st and May 31st, 2025.
