According to the Ministry of Health, the modules are objective to disseminate the main concepts of reflexology and meditation, qualify SUS professionals and address the applicability of these practices in health care, especially in primary care.

- iFood offers scholarships! 100% online and free course: The Meu Diploma do Ensino Médio program is aimed at delivery people, employees and business owners
- Free professional training courses for those looking for a new career, with vacancies in logistics, IT, marketing and more
- 2,2 places on 107 free undergraduate courses: study at one of the best technological universities with bachelor's, teaching and technology degree options
However, it is important to highlight that both courses are introductory and do not enable participants to offer these therapeutic practices in health services. To do this, additional professional training will be required, as governed by the councils for each category.
In this sense, Paulo Rocha, manager of the National Policy for Integrative and Complementary Practices in the SUS (PNPIC), explains that “managers, health professionals, technicians, SUS service coordinators and any interested citizen can participate in the courses”.
Furthermore, he emphasizes that “PICs integrate physical, emotional, mental and social aspects of the individual, expanding health care strategies” and that these practices help professionals to better understand the health-disease relationship and encourage self-care.
Reflexotherapy: the power of feet and hands
Reflexology, also known as reflexology, is based on the principle that the body is crossed by meridians that divide it into different regions, each reflected in specific points on the feet and hands.
By massaging these key points, it is possible to reactivate homeostasis and balance in areas of the body where there are blockages. Did you know that the soles of your feet have more than 72 nerve endings?
The 40-hour reflexology course details this practice, discusses the PNPIC and other relevant aspects, and includes videos, interviews, texts, case studies, practical activities and optional assessments.
Meditation: a path to well-being
Meditation, on the other hand, is an ancient practice present in different cultures and traditions, with benefits proven by science for physical, mental and emotional health. Meditation can harmonize mood, improve cognitive performance and reduce stress.
The meditation course, also lasting 40 hours, addresses the experiences of Pics in the SUS, discusses the PNPIC and deepens the concepts and studies on the practice. Materials include texts, videos, interviews, case studies, practical activities and optional assessments.
Both courses were structured to offer a comprehensive and in-depth overview of integrative practices, promoting a better understanding of the benefits and applications for both healthcare professionals and the general public.
