A Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) Registration is open to fill 350 places in two undergraduate courses in the Distance Learning (EAD).
The opportunities are divided between the Degree in Geography, which offers 200 places, and the Bachelor's Degree in Cooperatives, with 150 places available.
Registration began on August 19th and runs until September 16th, 2024, offering an excellent opportunity for those who want to study at a renowned higher education institution without leaving home.
Details about available vacancies and centers
Candidates interested in the Degree in Geography course will be able to apply for vacancies distributed in several centers, including Encantado, Picada Café, Santana do Livramento, Sapucaia do Sul and Seberi.
For those who wish to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Cooperatives, places are available at the centers in Imbé, Picada Café and Porto Alegre. To participate in the selection process, candidates must pay a registration fee of R$100 by September 17th.
The notices for these courses still reserve 50% of places for candidates included in the Affirmative Action Program.
This program is aimed at black people, quilombolas, indigenous people, people with disabilities and women, expanding access to higher education for historically marginalized groups.
The theoretical test is scheduled for October 13, 2024, which is the main selection stage for both courses.
The suspension of the selection process and the start of classes
Originally, the selection process was scheduled to take place at the beginning of 2024, but was suspended due to the May flood that impacted several regions of Rio Grande do Sul.
With the reopening of registrations, those approved in this selection process will begin their classes in the first semester of 2025, thus complying with the UFRGS academic calendar.
