Dubai challenges engineering with an ultra-thin skyscraper designed to have just one apartment per floor, redefining luxury and innovation
The new skyscraper from Dubai, named after Muraba Veil, promises to be a true architectural masterpiece, standing out not only for its impressive height of 380 meters, but mainly for its unique structure ultra-thin.
Designed by renowned Pritzker Prize-winning RCR Arquitectes, the building will be innovative in having just one apartment per floor, with a width of 22,5 meters.
The Muraba Veil project is being developed in collaboration with engineering firms WSP and Arup. The design was inspired by traditional Arabic housing and will be wrapped in a stainless steel mesh known as Mashrabiya, which will create a โveilโ that will protect interiors from the harsh Dubai sunlight, while providing a stylish and functional look.

Unique structure and design in Dubai
The interior of Muraba Veil will consist of 73 floors housing 131 luxury residences. Each apartment will span the entire width of the tower, providing panoramic views of the Dubai skyline. Residents will also enjoy a seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a unique sense of spaciousness.
The apartments will range from two to five bedrooms, with prices starting at AED 18.000.000 (approximately $4,9 million). For such a high price, residents will have access to a wide range of amenities, including an exclusive restaurant, an art gallery, a private cinema, an amphitheater and even an underground spa.
A New Architectural Approach
โMuraba Veil is our response to Dubaiโs unique landscape and culture,โ said Rafael Aranda, founder of RCR Arquitectes. โOur goal was to design a building that would be in tune with its surroundings, while pushing the boundaries of what a skyscraper can represent. Veil stands as an icon of a new approach to architecture, reflecting both heritage and modernity.โ
The ultra-thin structure of the Muraba Veil is already attracting international attention, with comparisons to other iconic projects such as 11 West 57th Street in New York City and the Pencil Tower Hotel. Although the project is currently under development, a completion date has not yet been announced.
Innovation and sustainability of the skyscraper
Another highlight of the Muraba Veil is its commitment to sustainability. The stainless steel mesh not only protects against heat, but also allows natural air circulation, reducing the need for artificial cooling systems and promoting an eco-efficient approach.
This unique skyscraper in Dubai reaffirms the global trend of creating buildings that combine technology, design and sustainability, reflecting a modern vision that respects cultural traditions. Muraba Veil is sure to establish itself as a landmark in Dubaiโs architectural landscape, offering a unique and exclusive experience to its future residents.
