Shortage of professionals in the technology sector is plaguing Brazil and new free UNIFOR courses are now open for registration through the AWS platform, check out the available opportunities!

The University of Fortaleza (Unifor), to combat the shortage of professionals in the Technology sector, is now accepting registrations for free courses through its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the technology area. The vacancies are for free UNIFOR postgraduate courses (PGLS). AWS is a global leader in cloud computing services, offering robust infrastructure and advanced computing, storage, and data analysis tools.

By integrating these technologies into training, in addition to combating the shortage of professionals in the Technology sector, Unifor offers students access to cutting-edge resources that are essential for contemporary careers.

Offering these free courses expands access to quality education, allowing more people the chance to develop essential technical skills without significant financial barriers. Courses include:

AWS Cloud Foundation 20 Hours

This introductory course is designed for students seeking a general understanding of cloud computing concepts, regardless of specific technical roles. The course provides a detailed overview of cloud concepts, core AWS products, security, architecture, pricing, and support.

AWS Machine Learning 20 Hours

This introductory course introduces students to the basic concepts and terminology of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). By the end of the course, students will be able to select and apply ML services to solve business problems.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect 40 Hours

The intermediate-level course covers the fundamentals of building IT infrastructure on AWS and helps students develop the skills they need to earn the AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.

Registration for free UNIFOR courses

Training to combat the shortage of professionals in the technology sector is offered in the distance learning (EAD) format, exclusively for undergraduate and graduate students from Unifor, with labs on the AWS Training platform. Enrollment in AWS Academy begins at the institutional level. 

Once the application is accepted, the institution must accept the terms and conditions of the program, and the institution's central point of contact will assign one or more educators to teach courses at AWS Academy and propose a lesson plan. It is worth mentioning that at the end of the free UNIFOR courses, participants will receive a certificate of participation and can share the digital badge (AWS badge) on their social networks.
