The new C-390 Millennium, delivered to the Brazilian Air Force in September 2024, expands the Zeus squadron's operational capacity in combat and rescue missions. The aircraft, which has accumulated more than 14.000 flight hours with a 99% success rate, is also conquering the international market, being acquired by armed forces of countries such as Portugal and Austria.

The C-390 Millennium aircraft: the new star of the FAB impresses the world with unique technology and versatility

For the world of military aviation, the delivery of yet another unit of the Embraer C-390 Millennium to Air Force Brazilian (FAB) is not just another chapter.

The aircraft, recognized worldwide for its reliability and ability to carry out highly complex missions, marks a revolution.

This seventh model delivered reinforces the power of the FAB, expanding the possibilities for action in various operations, from combating natural disasters to aerial refueling missions.

Proven performance and global efficiency

According to data from the Defesa Brasil portal, the C-390 fleet has already accumulated more than 14.000 flight hours and has achieved an impressive mission completion rate of 99%, which highlights its robustness and operational capacity in any scenario.

Developed to meet the needs of modern armed forces, the C-390 offers the flexibility and agility that few military transport aircraft can deliver.

“Over the past five years, the C-390 has proven its reliability and versatility in complex missions, from transporting supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic to international rescue operations,” stated Bosco da Costa Júnior, CEO of Embraer Defense & Security.

These qualities make the model an essential resource for both military actions and urgent humanitarian missions.

Cutting-edge technology and operational robustness

The C-390 also stands out for its state-of-the-art technological configuration, including advanced avionics systems and a cargo compartment capable of transporting up to 26 tons.

Equipped with IAE V2500 engines and a sturdy landing gear, the aircraft operates on unpaved runways and can access hard-to-reach areas.

According to data from Embraer, the aircraft reaches a speed of up to 470 knots, placing it among the fastest in its category.

In addition to its robust features, the C-390 offers versatility in aerial refueling missions, essential to guarantee logistical support to other aircraft in flight.

“The high efficiency of the C-390 is one of the main attractions for countries that want a transport aircraft that can adapt to various operations,” commented Maurício Carrilho, defense sector analyst.

C-390 Millennium: success in the international market

Although the development was Brazilian, the success of the C-390 Millennium has already reached other nations. Countries such as Portugal, Hungary and Austria have chosen the aircraft to make up their air fleets, confirming the model's export potential.

The growth in overseas sales reflects the confidence that other nations have in Embraer and the capabilities of the C-390.

With an attractive cost-benefit ratio and an efficiency rate of over 93%, the model is consolidating itself as one of the preferred choices in the global defense market.

The FAB and the strengthening of national defense

With the seventh C-390 operating in the FAB Zeus Squadron, Brazil strengthens its response capacity in emergency situations and expands its presence in international peacekeeping missions.

The Zeus Squadron, which already operates these aircraft on highly complex missions, will gain even more capacity to act in both combat missions and rescue and humanitarian assistance.

Furthermore, the presence of the C-390 also positions Brazil as a relevant player in the field of international defense cooperation.

The aircraft has already been used in joint missions with other nations and, with the delivery of the new model, this participation is expected to intensify in the coming years.

A new era for defense aviation in Brazil?

The C-390 Millennium represents a milestone for Embraer and for Brazil, which is consolidating itself as a force for innovation in military aviation.

Could the growing presence of this aircraft on the world stage further boost the export of Brazilian technology?

But the **** American jeweler sold it to Boeing, compromising all these projects and sabotaging the country itself. God wanted Boeing to be unable to honor its commitments due to financial difficulties. If this were to happen, it would break the legs of not only the Air Force but also the Navy. Another crime of this **** that cannot go unpunished.

Good morning. Small correction, the failed sale mentioned would only be of the commercial aviation part. Embraer Defense and Security would not be sold, thus ensuring national security.

Yes, but it would still be harming our industry since we would lose this equally important slice of a product with very high technology and added value. This guy, the former president, who pretends to be a patriot and manages to fool so many people, is actually the opposite of that.

What a ****, Embraer has been a private company since 1994. No president after 94 can give his opinion there. Stop talking **** and spreading fake news. Go study.

Once again, correcting the functionally illiterate: Embraer is a PRIVATE company, with publicly traded shares (WITHOUT CONTROLLING SHARES). Its shares are traded on the B4, Brazil's official stock exchange, and on the NYSE, New York's official stock exchange. Its main individual shareholders are the foreign funds Brandes and Mondrian.

But the one who would deliver it to Boeing would be the one who pretends to be a patriot and you believe it. Don't try to raise other questions on this subject!

Mr. RSantos
Stop being uninformed and stop talking nonsense. Embraer has not been part of the government for many years, so the government of Jair Messias Bolsonaro had no influence on a possible sale of the company to Boeing. So keep quiet, you misinformed leftist.

Embraer is a company linked to NATIONAL SECURITY, friend.
The president (holds the Golden share) who can block (at least in theory since Brazil is a bit of a colony)… any foreign action that threatens such sovereignty.
Since Embraer was privatized, a PÉTRIA clause was created in which the following was regulated: that Embraer could not have more than 40% of foreign capital...
But……ihhh……How can she have much more than that today?????….
Look at the colony there, people

Calm down, the executive's Golden Share at Embraer is limited and very specific, my friend. At Embraer, the golden share only allows #the veto of the transfer of control #the change of headquarters, #the change of logo and training in technology for military programs. It does not apply to commercial aviation smarty pants!

It was during Temer's time that the joint venture between Embraer and Boeing took place. Thank goodness it failed.

Correcting a moron is always frustrating, but let's go. No, the president has no control over Embraer. It stopped being a state-owned company on December 7, 1994, and has administrative and financial autonomy, but an ignorant person would never know that. It is a success precisely because it is private, otherwise it would have already been robbed like Petrobras, the post office and the pension funds under the PT governments.

RSantos, you idiot, let's go: First, the joint venture was executed during the time of Micbel Temer; Second, Embraer has had administrative and financial autonomy since 1994. Third, stop spreading fake news and go study m4né.

We need, to free ourselves from “external pressures” that can harm a big business, to study and manufacture jet engines to equip our “fatties”… We have excellent intellects, most of them coming from ITA…
