The Federal Institute of Brasília announced the Campus Estrutural Notice that brought the opening of registrations for free language courses with Placement Test. The IFB's proposal is to promote training in English, Spanish and sign language courses to candidates who are eager to learn more and more. The courses include:
Basic Spanish – Module 2
- Hours: 200 hours;
- Shift: Afternoon;
- Seats: 15;
- Required knowledge: Basic Spanish level 1 proven by placement test;
- Minimum education required: Completed elementary education;
- Minimum age required: 16 years.
Basic English – Module 2
- Hours: 210 hours;
- Shift: Afternoon;
- Seats: 15;
- Required knowledge: Basic English level 1 proven by placement test;
- Minimum education required: Incomplete secondary education/currently studying;
- Minimum age required: 14 years.
Libras – Intermediate Module
- Hours: 210 hours;
- Shift: Afternoon;
- Seats: 30;
- Required knowledge: Basic level of libras proven by placement test;
- Minimum education required: Completed elementary education;
- Minimum age required: 16 years.
Intermediate Spanish – Module 2
- Hours: 200 hours;
- Shift: Afternoon;
- Seats: 15;
- Required knowledge: Basic level of Spanish proven by placement test;
- Minimum education required: Completed elementary education;
- Minimum age required: 16 years.
Basic English – Module 3
- Hours: 210 hours;
- Shift: Afternoon;
- Seats: 20;
- Required knowledge: Basic English level 1 and 2 proven by placement test;
- Minimum education required: Incomplete secondary education/currently studying;
- Minimum age required: 14 years.

Registration for English, Spanish and sign language courses must be completed using the form provided in the notice, by September 11, 2024. The Estrutural Campus will also provide a computer that will be available in the Academic Registry, to facilitate the process for those who cannot register remotely.

Candidates for free language courses will be ranked based on their Placement Test score, which is made up of the Written Test (TE) and Oral Test (TO) scores, ranging from 0 to 100 points. To pass, candidates must obtain at least 50 points in each stage, and the final score will be the average of the two.
Candidates with a final grade equal to or greater than 50 will be ranked in descending order for enrollment, respecting the vacancy limit, while those with a grade lower than 50 will be eliminated from the selection process.

The final result of this selection process should be announced on September 23, 2024, on the Campus website, in descending order of the candidates' scores.
