What to expect from the new Eurofios Group factory?
The Eurofios Group is already a reference in the recycled textile yarn segment, and the new factory in Ascurra is a strategic step to further consolidate this position. With 8 thousand square meters, the plant promises increase production by around 25%, meeting a growing demand from the textile industry for recycled and sustainable materials.

According to Paulo Sensi Filho, director of the company, the main focus of this investment is to meet the need for circular materials, that is, those that are part of a reuse cycle within the industry. “The demand for sustainability is growing a lot, and the new factory is here to meet exactly that: to supply more recycled textile yarns to the market”, says the executive.
Increased production and sustainability
Currently, the Eurofios Group recycles an impressive 13 tons of textile waste per year. Of this total, around 6 thousand tons are transformed into threads that return to the production chain, being reused in the manufacture of new products. With the new unit in Ascurra, the expectation is that this recycling capacity will increase considerably, allowing more waste to be given a new purpose.
This strategy is not only positive for business, but also reinforces Eurofios' commitment to sustainability. With the growing demand for products that cause less environmental impact, expanding the production capacity of recycled yarns is a smart move. After all, who doesn't want to consume more ecological and responsible products, right?
Creation of new jobs at the new Eurofios factory
One of the most exciting news about the new Eurofios plant is undoubtedly the creation of new jobs. The forecast is that between 60 and 80 vacancies are opened to meet the factory's production demands. This is a great sign for the region's job market, since the existing plant in Blumenau currently employs around 140 employees.
This increase in staff will have a positive impact on both Ascurra and the surrounding cities. With the opening scheduled for January, hiring should begin soon, and interested parties can keep an eye out for opportunities that will arise.
Why is this expansion so important for the Itajaí Valley?
The choice of Ascurra to host the new Eurofios Group factory was not without reason. Located in the Médio Vale do Itajaí, the city has a strategic location, close to important industrial centers and with easy logistical access. This facilitates the flow of production regarding the arrival of recycled raw materials.
The Itajaí Valley is a region that already has a strong tradition in the textile sector, with renowned companies operating there. The arrival of a new factory focused on sustainability further reinforces this vocation and may attract new investments to the area. For the region's residents, this means more jobs and economic development.
The demand for recycled textile yarns
With increasing awareness of the environmental impacts of industrial production, more and more companies are looking for more sustainable alternatives. And that's exactly where Eurofios comes in with its recycled textile yarns. These products are made from textile waste, materials that would otherwise end up in landfills, contributing to the accumulation of waste.
Recycling textile waste and transforming it into new yarns ready for industrial use is a process that involves technology and innovation. And The new Eurofios factory is being designed precisely to optimize this process, offering the market an efficient and sustainable solution. The goal is clear: to increase production and reduce the environmental impact of the textile industry.
With construction completion scheduled for January 2025, the new Eurofios factory in Ascurra marks the beginning of a new phase for the company. In addition to increasing production capacity and generating new jobs, the plant will be essential to further strengthen the company's commitment to the circular economy.
If you live in the Itajaí Valley region or are looking for a job in the textile industry, it is worth keeping a close eye on Eurofios’ upcoming developments. The company’s expansion is another important step towards a more sustainable and innovative future, both for the industry and for the job market. Stay tuned and, who knows, maybe soon you will be working in this new phase of Eurofios?
