The combustion engine of the Ford Maverick Hybrid pickup is a Duratec 2.5 four-cylinder, which was also used in other Ford models, such as the Fusion. However, in the pickup, it has an Atkinson cycle and the combined power, including the electric motor, is an impressive 194 hp, with torque of 21,4 kgfm. These numbers are more than enough to boost the 1.700 kg of the pickup, all this with a very low consumption.
Ford Maverick Hybrid: Energy Efficiency in the Spotlight
The Ford Maverick Hybrid achieves impressive consumption figures, according to the parameters established by Inmetro's Brazilian Vehicle Labeling Program (PBEV). Recording 15,7 km/l in the city and 13,6 km/l on the road, both with gasoline, the hybrid pickup stands out for its efficiency.
It is important to note that hybrid vehicles have the advantage of consuming less fuel on urban journeys, where the electric motor can operate independently for extended periods. The combined consumption reaches the mark of 14,6 km/l in the new Ford pickup.
With a fuel tank of 57 liters, the autonomy of the Ford Maverick Hybrid pickup can overcome 800 km, depending on driving style and conditions of use. This feature gives owners exceptional freedom, allowing them to travel longer distances with less need to refuel. Performance of the new Ford Pickup
Tests carried out on the Ford Maverick Hybrid pickup truck, on a route of approximately 80 km on duplicate highways in the interior of São Paulo, revealed that the hybrid pickup truck has a exceptional performance, accelerating and regaining speed successfully. According to the manufacturer, the Maverick Hybrid goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 8,7 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 175 km/h.
