Discover the 5-stroke engine that is changing the way we transport, offering a sustainable and efficient solution to replace fossil fuels
The world is facing a delicate environmental crisis, driven by the devastating climate changes of recent years. This has led several industries to become more engaged and make decisions in favor of the environment. The automotive sector has stood out by replacing traditional fossil fuels and combustion engines with more sustainable alternatives.
A radical change in the automotive industry: discover this new engine
For a long time, electric vehicles have stood out as the most sustainable and environmentally friendly. Subsequently, hydrogen-powered cars also gained an important role in this energy transition. However, it has just emerged a new innovation which promises the end of fuels.
It is important to mention the imminent danger posed by fuels derived from fossil sources, which have a high rate of greenhouse gas emissions, increasing climate change and its devastating repercussions throughout the world. Therefore, several countries have signed international treaties to curb the use of these fuels.
- Hydrogen: THE REVOLUTIONARY TECHNOLOGY that may not make sense for cars in Brazil
- Hydrogen-powered electric car with 1000 km range: French company Hopium impresses the automotive market with revolutionary technology and promises to redefine sustainable transport!
- Unbelievable! Alpine's new hydrogen-powered supercar with 6 horsepower V740 Biturbo engine reaches 330 km/h — Is this the future of high-performance cars?
- Toyota takes the market by surprise and launches a hybrid Hilux with a 2.4 turbo engine with 326 hp and electric and hydrogen versions!
As an alternative, a new engine has now emerged that promises to completely eliminate the use of these fuels. We are talking about the engine that could mean a radical change in the way we transport ourselves. This innovative engine has the potential to transform the automotive industry and significantly reduce our dependence on polluting fuels.
All the details you needed to know about this engine
Firstly, this engine presented by the AVL Recetech competition department can reach extremely high speeds while maintaining a low level of harmful gas emissions. This innovative invention could be one of the few ways to replace traditional combustion engines and eliminate all the problems linked to them.
If we talk about its operation, it is important to mention that Efficient Hydrogen Motors (EHM) presented this innovation with a 5-stroke cycle, which not only surprises the entire automotive sector, but can also reduce the advantages that traditional hydrogen engines had. , since they had the same structure as thermal engines.
This five-stroke engine adds an extra stage beyond the intake, compression, combustion and finally the exhaust stage. Now, this additional step serves to recover energy from the exhaust gases in a second cylinder, which would provide greater efficiency by using residual energy to trigger its operation without the need for more fuel.
What is your energy performance?
As confirmed by Hybrid and Electric, the company assures that this new model would not only improve performance, but would allow greater energy efficiency, with figures that exceed conventional engines by 50%, which have an efficiency of 37%. Furthermore, the aforementioned company intends to manufacture a new model with a power of 360 HP.
For this to be possible, EHM must raise the impressive sum of 100 million euros in just 3 years if it plans to start operating this production plant which will be located in Châteaulin, Finistère. First of all, the company will focus on manufacturing electrical generators and later implement them in heavy transportation such as cargo trucks and fishing boats.
The creation of this engine has a prominent place among the most promising innovations in this extensive fight against climate change and the never-ending dependence on fossil fuels. This new innovation could revolutionize not only the automotive industry, but also usher in an era of sustainable transportation due to its carbon neutrality.
