A public institution is offering thousands of free places on strategic technical courses, spread across dozens of cities in São Paulo. Registration has already begun and includes in-person and distance learning options in areas such as technology, energy, administration, aeronautics, electronics and much more.
O Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP) is accepting applications for more than 2 places on free technical courses, offering high-quality training in strategic areas such as mechatronics, administration, IT, industrial automation, electronics, mechanics, among others.
The selection process, provided for in Notice No. 86/2025, covers both courses concomitant with High School and subsequent courses, aimed at those who have already completed this stage of education.
Registration began on April 07th and continues until May 04th, 2025, with the test scheduled for June 08th.

Interested parties must access the IFSP Selection Process Portal, fill out the online form and pay the fee of R$20.
The assessment will consist of 30 multiple choice questions, with content from Portuguese Language and Mathematics, based on the final years of Elementary School (6th to 9th grade), according to the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC).
Technical courses with free and excellent training
The offer includes technical courses in face-to-face and distance learning formats, with classes in the morning, afternoon and evening, distributed across dozens of campuses throughout the state of São Paulo.
Among the most sought after courses are Mechatronics Technician, Administration Technician, Industrial Automation Technician, Electroelectronics Technician, Computer Technician, Chemistry Technician, Building Technician, Renewable Energy Systems Technician and Aeronautical Maintenance Technician.
Vacancies are offered at more than 30 IFSP campuses, including units in cities such as Araraquara, Bragança Paulista, Campinas, Caraguatatuba, Guarulhos, Jacareí, São Paulo, Sorocaba, Jundiaí, Suzano, among others.
In-person courses are held at the institution's regional headquarters, while distance learning courses are recommended for students with greater autonomy and flexible schedules.
Who can participate in the selection?
IFSP offers two types of admission:
- Concomitant Technical Courses, aimed at students enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of High School.
- Subsequent Technical Courses, aimed at candidates who have already completed high school by the date of enrollment.
The diversity of areas covered allows students to choose professional paths aligned with the current demands of the job market, including sectors such as renewable energy, information technology, health, aircraft maintenance, chemistry, electromechanics and logistics.
Selection process: stages and criteria
The selection process will be carried out through an objective test with 30 questions, 15 of which are on Portuguese and 15 on Mathematics, all based on Elementary School content.
The test will be applied on the day June 08th, 2025, lasting three hours.
The ranking of candidates will take into account the score obtained in the exam, in addition to the order of registration., respecting the quota policy for students from the public network.
According to the notice, part of the vacancies will be reserved for affirmative actions, guaranteeing equitable access to the courses.
Furthermore, IFSP advises candidates to frequently follow updates on the official selection process portal and pay attention to the complete calendar, available on the institution's institutional website.
More than 50 course options in strategic areas
With more than 50 different courses, IFSP courses offer modern curricula, updated infrastructure and qualified teaching staff, significantly increasing students' employability chances.

- São Paulo (capital): Technician in Industrial Automation, Buildings, Restaurant and Bar Services, Mechanics and Electrical Engineering.
