The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará (IFCE) is accepting applications for the EmbarcaTech program in Ceará, an initiative of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), which aims to offer training in the IT area. In total, there are six thousand places in free IT courses offered on a Distance Learning (EAD) platform, with one thousand of them available in Ceará.

The Federal Institute's free IT course program is based on two phases. The first consists of an intensive initial training of three months, totaling 160 hours and made available on a Distance Learning (EaD) platform. In this phase, the program serves six thousand students, including one thousand vacancies for Ceará.
The second stage of the free IT courses, a technology residency, is aimed at the 600 best students from the initial phase, 100 of whom are in Ceará, and lasts 12 months (240 hours). During the residency, participants receive a monthly scholarship worth R$3.100.
Who can participate in the Federal Institute's free IT courses?
Candidates who are 18 years of age or older and have completed high school may apply for training in the IT area. They must also meet at least one of the following conditions:
Be enrolled in or have completed a technical level course in the areas of Industrial Control and Processes or Information and Communication, according to the National Catalog of Technical Courses (CNCT);
Be enrolled in or have completed a higher education or postgraduate course in the areas of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Engineering and related areas or present proven professional experience or specific skills in related areas.
To support learning, the free IT courses program offers a teaching platform with interactive resources, forums and online mentoring with professionals.
At the end of the course, participants receive nationally recognized certification issued by IFCE, MCTI and Softex. Students with the best performance will also have the chance to participate in paid internships at partner companies, facilitating their entry into the job market.
Meet Embarcatech
The IT training program, launched in July in Fortaleza, is an initiative of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), coordinated by Softex, an organization that has been working for 27 years to encourage Brazilian Digital Transformation, creating, promoting and executing initiatives at national and international levels in the areas of technology and innovation.
In addition to IFCE, the Federal Institutes of Rio Grande do Norte, Piauí and Maranhão also participate in the free IT courses program, together with the Ilhéus Center for Research and Technological Development in Information Technology and Electronics (CEPEDI) and the Instituto Hardware BR.
According to Wally Menezes, Dean of the Federal Institute of Ceará, the main intellectual capital that will be formed in the program, with the partner institutions, is the greatest capital we can have.
