Applications for the UFSCar competition will be open from September 16 to October 11, 2024, and must be submitted exclusively online, on the Federal University's website. Candidates may only apply for one of the job codes or areas of knowledge available in the notice. The application fee is R$262,00.

Of the total number of vacancies for teachers in the selection process, 20% (13 vacancies) are reserved for black people who self-identify as black or brown, in accordance with Law No. 12.990/2014. In addition, 5% (4 vacancies) are reserved for the general public.
The remuneration of UFSCar higher education professors varies according to the professor's qualification and class. In general, professors are classified into different levels, such as:

- Working hours: 20 hours per week;
- Total Remuneration: R$ 3.046,99.

UFSCar competition selection process
The selection process for teaching positions at the Federal University will consist of four phases, which are a written test, analysis of the Curriculum Vitae, a didactic test and discussion of the teaching, research and extension work plan. The written test, which is eliminatory and classificatory in nature, is scheduled for November 24, 2024.
The analysis of the Curriculum Vitae for the UFSCar competition will take place remotely, while the didactic tests and the discussion of the work plan will be in person, scheduled for the period from April 14 to 25, 2025.
