The long-awaited construction of a new 90-meter bridge begins with an investment of R$6,1 million. The project aims to improve traffic and eliminate historical congestion, benefiting thousands of drivers every day.

After years of waiting, the Federal Government has given the green light for the construction of a new bridge that will connect the municipalities of Guaporรฉ and Anta Gorda, in Rio Grande do Sul. The authorization for the construction of this new bridge, which will be 90 meters long and will cost R$6,1 million, represents a historic achievement for the region. This investment aims to eliminate bottlenecks and significantly improve the connection between the two cities, promising to positively impact the lives of residents and boost local development.

A milestone for Guaporรฉ and Anta Gorda: construction of the new bridge represents an old dream

The construction of the new bridge represents a milestone in the development and accessibility of the region, something that residents of Guaporรฉ and Anta Gorda have been waiting for for a long time. On Thursday, October 24, Mayors Valdir Carlos Fabris (Guaporรฉ) and Francisco David Frighetto (Anta Gorda) signed the contract for the preparation of the executive engineering project, initiating the process.

The work will be carried out by the company Eco Bridges โ€“ Sistemas Estruturais Sustentรกveis โ€‹โ€‹Ltda., specialist in the construction of reinforced concrete and metal structure bridges, ensuring that the new bridge meets modern safety and durability standards.

The mayor of Guaporรฉ, Valdir Carlos Fabris, described the moment as โ€œhistoricโ€, highlighting that the new bridge will bring benefits to the entire region, in addition to solve mobility problems between the two municipalities.

โ€œI am very happy because the region is the one who benefits, not just Guaporรฉ and Anta Gorda. It was a long process, yes, I would have liked to have inaugurated it during my government. It will not be possible, but the work is confirmedโ€, declared the mayor, emphasizing how essential the construction of the new bridge is for the region.

Investment from the Federal Government and counterpart from city governments for the construction of the new bridge

The construction project for the new bridge involves an investment of R$6,1 million, of which R$3,9 million will be provided by the Federal Government.

As prefectures Guaporรฉ and Anta Gorda will also be part of the investment, contributing R$1,1 million each as a counterpart. This financial contribution represents not only an important collaboration between the federal and municipal governments, but also demonstrates the commitment to solving a problem that affects the lives of residents.

For the mayor of Anta Gorda, Francisco David Frighetto, the construction of the new bridge represents the realization of a dream for the community.

โ€œWe are finally starting the development process for the Alto Taquari region. This is a project that has been planned for some time and is now being implemented. For us, it is a source of joy and satisfaction,โ€ said Frighetto, emphasizing the importance of the new bridge for the integration and development of the region.

Deadlines and challenges: new bridge expected to open in the first half of 2025

With the contract signed and the executive project underway, the company Eco Pontes is ready to begin work in November, with completion expected in approximately six months. Eco Pontes' commercial director, Fernando Hรบngaro, estimates that the new bridge will be inaugurated in the first half of 2025.

โ€œWe will now adjust the executive projects and begin work in November. We will certainly face some difficulties with the weather conditions, but nothing that will prevent the completion of the project in early April. For us, it is a great pleasure because of what the bridge represents for the regional community,โ€ commented Hรบngaro, making clear the companyโ€™s commitment to the delivery deadline.

The construction of a new bridge in this location is urgent, considering the importance of the road for residents and commercial traffic in the region. The old bridge, which was destroyed in September 2023, caused a series of inconveniences for the population.

Since the incident, the alternatives for traveling between Guaporรฉ and Anta Gorda involve longer routes, passing through Encantado or Itapuca, which increases travel time and impacts the daily lives of those who need to travel between the cities.

The new bridge promises to be a model of sustainable construction

The new bridge will be built with a reinforced concrete and metal structure, which will ensure greater durability and safety.

Eco Pontes โ€“ Sustainable Structural Systems Ltd.., responsible for the project, is known for implementing construction practices that seek to minimize environmental impact, aligning the design of the new bridge with sustainability principles.

With the investment of the Federal Government and the commitment of the city councils, the construction of the new bridge in Guaporรฉ and Anta Gorda represents not only a practical solution to local mobility problems, but also an advance in the commitment to sustainability and environmental preservation.

Eco Pontes, which has experience in bridge construction with a focus on sustainability, brings innovative solutions to this project that value safety and reduce environmental impact.
