The Federal Institute of Brasília offers more than 2 free places for technical courses and high school, with inclusive options through a quota system. Amid growing interest in technical and professional education, the Federal Institute of Brasília (IFB) is launching a special opportunity that promises to attract the attention of young people and adults throughout the Federal District.

Are more than 2 thousand vacancies open to those who wish to improve their knowledge and enter quality training, completely free of charge, with courses distributed across 10 campuses of the institution in the DF.

Registration begins in November 18th, 2024 and end in 10 January 2025, this is a unique opportunity for those looking to specialize and expand their professional opportunities for the future.

Registration and course modalities

The vacancies cover different modalities, serving different student profiles. IFB offers options of integrated technical high school, courses subsequent for those who have already completed basic education, and still Youth and Adult Education (EJA), aimed at people over 18 years of age who have not completed formal education.

Registration is free and must be done directly on the website IFB official during the registration period. In addition to being free of charge, the selection process will take place via electronic draw, offering equal opportunities to all candidates.

According to the IFB, classes are scheduled to begin in 2025, and vacancies cover courses in areas such as technology, customer service, administration, agronomy, gastronomy and much more.

Available courses and campuses

The IFB has campuses located in several regions of the DF: Brasilia, Ceilandia, Structural, Gama, Planaltina, Emas Corner, Deep Creek, Fern, São Sebastião and Taguatinga.. In each unit, specific courses are offered that meet local demand and the profiles of interested students.

  • IFB Campus Brasilia: offers courses such as Computer Technician, Systems Development, Events and Marketing, in modalities that include integrated high school, subsequent education and Proeja.
  • IFB Campus Ceilândia: emphasis on Electronics and Occupational Safety courses, with modalities integrated into secondary and subsequent education.
  • IFB Campus Planaltina: with a focus on the agricultural and agro-industrial areas, this unit offers integrated and subsequent secondary education.
  • IFB Campus Structural: courses focused on Automotive Maintenance and the Environment.

These are just some of the opportunities offered, but in total there are more than 30 free courses available, with training ranging from technology to agronomy.

Quota system: inclusion and diversity

In addition to vacancies in broad competition, the IFB offers a system of heights for specific groups, promoting inclusion and diversity in access to education. Among the groups that have quotas, the following stand out:

  • Disabled people
  • Public school students
  • Black, brown, indigenous and quilombola people
  • Members of family farming families
  • Servers of the DF Education Department
  • Candidates with a family income of up to one minimum wage

To ensure access via quotas, candidates must prove their status by presenting documents such as medical reports, socioeconomic assessment forms and self-declaration for racial recognition.
