Launched in 2013, the Fiat Punto Blackmotion combines elements of the Essence, Sporting and T-Jet versions, creating a unique model with a sporty touch. The Fiat car, which stands out in the used vehicle market, offers solid performance, reaching 10,6 km/l, and can currently be found for less than R$50 thousand. In 2024, Fiat's popular car continues to attract the attention of consumers looking for an affordable vehicle, with good performance and distinctive style. In this article, we will explore the details that make the Punto Blackmotion an interesting option in the used market.

Fiat Punto Blackmotion delivers up to 132 horsepower

The Sporting configuration borrows the E.torQ 1.8 16V engine, with up to 132 horsepower and 18,9 kgfm of torque, which can be coupled to the Dualogic automated gearbox. The T-Jet version gives Fiat's popular car sporty bumpers, headlights with a black mask and side skirts.

Completing the look of the Fiat Punto Blackmotion are the exterior mirror covers, the hood trim, the pillar covering and the spoiler in matte black, as well as side stripes and a logo with the series name.

Still on the visual side, Fiat's popular car comes with 16-inch alloy wheels with exclusive dark paint, in the color Grey Neptune and Diamond. Rounding off the external visual changes are the side stripes, as well as the Blackmotion acronym in dark chrome on the rear lid.

In the cabin, the Fiat car stands out from the rest with a black dashboard with a unique texture, gray seat belts, seats with a sporty finish and Blackmotion embroidery on the backrest, black interior upholstery and carpeted floor mats with embroidery alluding to the series.

The version comes as standard with interior lighting with night design effect, front and rear electric windows, electric locks, rear parking sensor with graphic display on the instrument panel, electric rear view mirrors and much more.

The list of standard items consists of a CD player with MP3 integrated into the panel with USB input, multifunctional leather steering wheel, rear electric windows, dual airbag, ABS and parking sensor.

From the T-Jet, the Fiat car also receives the DNA selector, which changes the driving modes, prioritizing performance or economy, in addition to the normal mode. Completing the list of optional extras are a panoramic sunroof, the Blue&Me system, rain and twilight sensor and side and curtain airbags.

With dimensions of 4065 mm, width of 1687 mm, height of 1497 mm and wheelbase of 2510 mm, the model has great performance, going from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9,5 seconds and delivering a top speed of 193 km/h. Urban consumption is 6,7 km/l with alcohol and 9,7 km/l with gasoline. On the highway, it delivers 7,9 km/l and 11,2 km/l, respectively.

Despite being presented as an ideal used Fiat car, the Fiat Punto Blackmotion also has its flaws. There are reports of suspension defects in units with 135 thousand km. It is necessary to be careful when changing the oil, as there is a version that takes 2,7 liters, while the 16v version takes 3,2 liters.

If the mechanic puts in 3 liters, as usual, it will give excess oil and this can cause problems. The gearbox mount is also another problem, as well as leaking valve cover twice, the two connecting rods and two rear mounts, electric lock, driver's door and open trunk sensor.
