Fiat has registered new patents for vehicles. The big news is the Fiat Argo, which should be transformed into an SUV.
A Italian automaker Fiat prepares Big changes to your cars for the next few years, as shown by patent records made in Europe. According to information revealed this Tuesday (27) by the blog “Auto Secrets” from the UOL portal, these patents revealed in Europe caused an uproar in the automotive world and also caused a lot of speculation.
According to the publication, this is because the documents refer to the Fiat Panda, which will be the direct brother of the new Argo, a model widely sold in Brazil. The blog highlights that this model should debut on the market between the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026 and it will not mark the return of Uno to Brazil, much less replace Mobi.
The new Argo has codenames in Brazil.
The blog already mentioned informs that this new generation of Fiat argo is called in the corridors of Stellantis, the company's assembly plant located in Betim, Minas Gerais, for three codenames: Project 328, F1H and Argo Next Gen.

The latter is considered a more revealing codename, as it shows the possibility that the model is, in fact, a new generation of the vehicle, now part of the hatch category. In this sense, if it really leaves the paper, the Argo Next Gen will be the first Fiat to feature the Common Modular Platform (CMP) in Brazil.
According to “Auto Segredos”, the model will be produced in Betim, where all new models to be produced at the factory will feature the new platform.

As patent records show, the new Fiat Argo, with an SUV body, will have dimensions close to the new generation of Peugeot 2008, maintaining its 2,65 meter wheelbase. The length should be close to 4,30 meters, the width 1,98 meters and the height close to 1,55 meters.
When detailing these documents, the aforementioned blog states that these Records made in Europe are capable of revealing more than 90% of what the new generation of Argo will be. However, the publication highlights that there may be changes, for example, to the doors.
The model to circulate in Brazil must also have differences in relation to the registered project in items such as bumpers and light sets. The panel with very futuristic lines, however, must be replicated.
Finally, the blog reports that, in relation to the engine, this new generation of the Fiat Argo will have the 1.0 Turbo Flex Turbo 200 engine and an MHEV hybrid system. The latter must be associated with the same engine. It is important to highlight the possibility that the model has a conventional hybrid system (HEV). The photos of Fiat Argo SUV:
