The Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), one of the most important research and public health institutions in the country, is open for registration for the public tender which offers 300 higher education vacancies in various areas. Salaries range from R$7.879,69 to R$13.686,72, depending on the candidate's position and title. The opportunities are distributed across ten Brazilian cities.

Distribution of vacancies offered in the Fiocruz public competition
The Fiocruz public competition is divided into three positions: Health Management Analyst, Public Health Technologist and Public Health Researcher.
Each position has 100 vacancies, 75 of which are open to competition, 20 reserved for black people and 5 reserved for people with disabilities.

Requirements for each of the open positions
Health Management Analyst
The position of Health Management Analyst in the Fiocruz public competition is aimed at professionals who work in the administrative area, such as logistics, people and infrastructure management.
Candidates must have a higher education degree in any field of training.
Vacancies are available in the cities of Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Campo Grande, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Manaus, Porto Velho, Recife, Rio de Janeiro and Salvador.
Public Health Technologist
The position of Public Health Technologist is aimed at professionals who work in technical areas, such as engineering, law, nursing, medicine and physiotherapy.
Candidates must have a higher education degree in the specific area of the position.
The vacancies open in the Fiocruz competition are located in the cities of Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, Manaus, Recife, Rio de Janeiro and Salvador.
Public Health Researcher
The position of Public Health Researcher is aimed at professionals who work in the research area, on topics such as the health environment, climate change, applied biological sciences, clinical research and health history.
Candidates interested in the Fiocruz competition must have a doctorate degree in the specific area of the position.
The vacancies are distributed in the cities of Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Campo Grande, Curitiba, Manaus, Porto Velho, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and Teresina.
When will the Fiocruz competition be?
Registration for the Fiocruz public competition can be made until March 5, 2024, at Fiocruz 2023 Competition website.
Registration fees are R$150 for the positions of Health Management Analyst and Public Health Technologist and R$200 for the position of Public Health Researcher.
What will the stages of the selection process be like?
The selection process will consist of objective and discursive tests, which will be applied on April 28, 2024, in the cities where the positions.
Candidates registered in the Fiocruz competition will also be evaluated by analyzing their titles and, for some positions, by practical tests, class tests, presentation of a professional project and defense of a memorial.
Results and validity of the Fiocruz competition
The result and approval of the competition of Fiocruz are scheduled for October 15th.
Furthermore, the validity period of the Fiocruz competition will be one year, and may be extended for an equal period, at the discretion of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation administration.
