Engine and performance: what changes in the Ford Ranger Black?

The Ranger Black has a 2.0 turbodiesel engine with 170 hp and 41,3 kgfm of torque. The Brazilian version should come with a six-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 traction, as seen in other 2.0 versions available on the market.

Furthermore, Ford continues to offer the Ranger with a 6 turbodiesel V3.0 engine, which delivers 250 hp of power and a robust torque of 61,2 kgfm.

Another highlight is the Raptor sports version, with its 6 V3.0 gasoline engine, delivering an impressive 397 hp and 59,4 kgfm.

Striking visuals and darkened details of the Ford Ranger Black

The Ranger Black's appearance does not go unnoticed. With an all-black design, it stands out due to the details on its bodywork.

The front grille is completely black, accompanied by fog lights with halogen lights and darkened rear-view mirrors.

In addition, the pickup truck comes equipped with 18-inch black wheels, side steps and roll bar, reinforcing its robust and modern identity.

On the side of the bucket, the Brazilian version is expected to feature the inscription “4×4”, indicating the all-wheel drive that should be one of the strong points of this version.

In the cabin, the leather and fabric seats follow the “Black” concept with unique details. Henry Ford's famous quote, “So long as it's black”, is engraved on the sides of the front seats, recalling the brand's pioneering spirit.

The price in Argentina starts at 48,6 million pesos, equivalent to approximately R$281.500 in direct conversion.

The Ranger Black maintains the same dimensions as the other versions, with 5,37 meters in length, 2,20 meters in width (including the rear-view mirrors) and 1,88 meters in height.

During a visit to the Ford Proving Ground in Tatuí (SP), Autoesporte found the Ranger Black with sealed windows and black stickers, further increasing the mystery about its interior. The model was locked, preventing details of the cabin from being revealed.

Now, the big question is: is the price of the Ford Ranger Black justified by its specifications and exclusivity? With the return of this model to Brazil, there is great expectation among consumers, especially for those looking for a robust, technological vehicle with a unique design.
