Did you know that Ford is about to take a big leap in innovation and technology in Brazil? The automotive giant recently announced a significant expansion of its operations in the country, promising not only technological advances but also the creation of new jobs.

But what exactly is behind this movement? Let's explore what's happening and why this could be an important milestone for the domestic automotive industry.

Last Thursday (25), the Ford celebrated the signing of the contract for the construction of a new building in the company's Development and Technology Center, located in SENAI CIMATEC Park, in Camaçari, Bahia.

The ceremony was attended by government authorities, businesspeople and representatives of FIEB (Federation of Industries of the State of Bahia). This event marked the beginning of a new phase for Ford in Brazil, with the expansion of its facilities and the promise of boosting the national automotive sector.

Innovation and scientific collaboration in the new Science Park

The new building will be part of the ambitious project called Science Park, a collaborative innovation hub that promises to integrate universities, technology institutes and research centers.

According to information released, the Science Park will have two main fronts: supporting scientific development and research, as well as fostering collaboration with startups and innovative projects.

This project has the financial support of the Financier of Studies and Projects (FINEP) and aims to strengthen the innovation ecosystem not only in Bahia, but throughout Brazil.

Ford and automotive intelligence: the future of mobility

Since its installation in 2022, the Ford Development and Technology Center at CIMATEC Park has been one of the main pillars of the company's new business model in Brazil.

This is one of nine engineering centers in the Ford around the world, dedicated to creating the future of mobility with a focus on electrified vehicles, connected and autonomous technologies.

With a team of more than 1.500 highly qualified professionals, the center dedicates 85% of its time to global projects, being responsible for a third of the features and technologies present in the brand's cars.

Expansion and new jobs: the economic impact on the region

Ford's current facilities at CIMATEC Park include six buildings, totaling 6 square meters of offices, virtual reality laboratories and component disassembly and analysis areas.

The company plans to further expand its presence with the construction of a new engineering building, which will house up to 2026 people and include offices, development labs, training areas and an auditorium. Completion of the works is scheduled for the beginning of XNUMX.

According to Alex Machado, director of Product Development at Ford South America, “this expansion reinforces Ford's commitment to continue investing in Brazilian talent and positions us as one of the most competent Ford development centers in the world.”

Furthermore, the partnership with SENAI CIMATEC is seen as fundamental for this expansion, providing an environment of high qualification and innovation.

For experts, the expansion not only reinforces Ford's commitment to innovation and the development of cutting-edge technologies, but also brings with it the promise of new jobs in the region.

Furthermore, the construction of the new building and the expansion of activities at CIMATEC Park should create employment opportunities for engineers, technicians and professionals from different areas, contributing to local economic development.

Ford, it's ****, it ended many jobs, years of dedication, whether it's truck assembly, automotive and in the 287 dealerships, without credibility, ranger engine breaks down all the time, Powershifit without a solution

The blame lies with the tax burden and labor justice, which do not exist in China, where the company is huge.

Well... 287 dealers made millions and made Ford services the most expensive in the world. They discovered that if you left your car up high with the wheels hanging down, the owner would have to come back in a few months to change the shock absorbers... Oh... Whether the warranty was close to expiring or not. Their business was to profit. Ford left to get rid of them. VW, GM, FIAT... they're all in the hands of these people...
At VW, they broke the front window inside the dealership and denied it. Then they said it was caused by a twist in the elevator… LOL

The Ford research and development center employs specialized labor and promotes this market in Brazil. Other companies will follow this specialized environment.

Pure strategy, a lack of shame, they left the country and the customers without even providing satisfaction, business, now they are coming back saying they are good Samaritans, the first time they leave again, only seeing the company's profit after they leave the country...

it only makes investments, with money from the PT government, when it closed the factories in Taubaté and Camaçari, the Bolsonaro Government had cut off this perk of getting government funding, now it comes with this again, go fuck yourself Ford!!!

This is a lie. How can it invest in Brazil if it doesn't have it but manufactures it here?
