During the event IAA Transportation, Germany, the brand presented the new electrified version of the pickup truck, which delivers impressive 279 cv, being more powerful than the Ranger V6 available in the Brazilian market. In addition to Europe, the hybrid version has already been confirmed for markets such as Australia and New Zealand, but, for now, there is no news about its arrival in Brazil. So, will the Brazilian public be waiting in anticipation?

If you think the new Ford Ranger Plug-In Hybrid is just another pickup truck, think again! This truck combines a 2.3 turbo combustion engine with a 102 hp electric motor, resulting in a combined power of 279 hp and 70,3 kgfm of torque. With these numbers, the electrified version surpasses the Brazilian V6 version and becomes the second most powerful Ranger, behind only the mighty Raptor.
The biggest visual difference in relation to the combustion model is the presence of the loading nozzle, strategically positioned on the side of the bucket. But what really draws attention is the fact that, being a Ranger Plug-In, it can run in mode 100% electric for up 45 km, offering a more sustainable and efficient driving experience.
Ranger Plug-In Hybrid: A Technological Pickup Truck
When it comes to technology, Ford Ranger Plug-In Hybrid does not disappoint. In addition to running up to 45 km without using a drop of fuel, it can be recharged in about four hours, depending on the charging point. Imagine the practicality: in addition to all this, the pickup is also capable of provide power to electrical devices such as tools, making it an ideal partner for those who work on the road or in places without easy access to power outlets.
But Ford didn't stop there. The brand also introduced a new special series called storm trak, which comes with 18-inch wheels and an exclusive front grille, as well as custom interior details. A combination of style, strength and efficiency!

Despite being a major novelty in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, unfortunately the Ford Ranger Plug-In Hybrid there is still no forecast for its arrival on the South American market. The truck is manufactured in South Africa, and the first units should start to be delivered in Europe and Oceania as early as 2025. And the prices? Well, that's still a mystery.
